Hair products for fine flyaway hair?

I have shoulder length fine flyaway hair and I would like to know what products to use to volumize my hair, make it softer and help repair damage.

I'm on a tight budget so no products that are crazy prices please, I also hear that the babyliss big hair is a good thing to get?

I'm trying to take care of myself better so any suggestions would be much appreciated, even on how to wash it and what products to steer clear of, I am a bit clueless on the subject.

Bumping this!

I'm in the same position... trying to take better care of myself including controlling my frizzy hair. I'm still looking at products but some tips i have come across include:

  1. Use a microfibre towel to dry hair as it creates less static.
  1. Pat hair very gently when drying and basically squeeze the water out rather than rub it with microfiber towel.
  1. I know oiling makes a difference (it's the norm in south east asian cultures) but i just find it a faff sometimes so dont end up doing it regularly. But once or twice a week should make a difference.
  1. Lastly products with argan oil are good for taming frizz. I find this is good although doesnt calm it down completely.
Schwarzkopf got2b Oil-Licious Tame & Shine Styling Oil 50ml
  1. Don't brush hair when its wet. Wait til its 80% dry.

But please if there are other tips do share.

I really like Tigi Small Talk volumising cream, although you might find it expensive (it's sold discounted on quite a few websites). Lots of lines seem to do similar creams cheaper, although I haven't tried any others.

I have very fine hair and I would say definitely get a Babyliss Big Hair, it can make a real difference once you get the hang of it. My favourite product is Percy and Reed Volumising No Oil Oil, used with the BBH it gives great volume but won’t weigh your hair down at all. And it makes it lovely and shiny, and smells gorgeous!

I find John Frieda 7 Day Volume Treatment brilliant for adding body. Presumably a lot of other people do as well as it’s always oos in Boots/Superdrug/Sainsburys etc.

Oiling wouldn’t work for me because my hair is already prone to being oily. I use a bit of John Frieda Frizz Ease Secret Agent to smooth my hair down. A tiny bit, the bottle lasts me forever.

For really stubborn pieces if I need my hair to look extra nice, I will use John Frieda Flyaway Tamer. It’s not always the easiest thing to find, but I suspect I could put my own gel in the container I already have. It’s basically like using a big mascara brush to finely apply gel.
