Fitted black trousers for an hourglass?

I have recently lost 2 stone and feel confident enough to try exposing my previously hidden derriėre in a pair of smart black fitted trousers. I was thinking just above ankle length to be worn with flats but I'd like to be able to wear a shirt tucked in ( I have always lived in baggy shirts over skinny trousers). I have a high hip flare and generous thighs which makes trousers difficult and am about a 37" - 27" - 37" which I think is a ten-ish / twelve-ish size. I haven't a clue where to start looking as I'm self conscious about my big arse (emphasised by the hhf which makes it look very boxy) so have made it a point to never buy trousers in person!

Thank you (in advance)

These French Connection ones work.

I think those FC ones would make anyone’s bum look big. And the very narrow leg would make a larger thig look out of proportion.

Well done on weightloss OP. I have also lost 2 stone, size 12 Hourglass but short with it. What height are you? I struggle with formal trousers.

I have 10inch between waist & hip & Gap is one of best brands for work trousers for me. This season they have a specific curve version - curvy slim city crop pants. There is usually a 30% discount around. Better quality (but more expensive) I have found Jigsaw & People Tree cater for curves & some Hobbs & Cos styles can be good. Have never found anything suitable in Boden & Jaeger. In practice I always make sure there are belt loops so I can cinch in an inch where the waist is big but otherwise fit is good - I have cheap Next & M&S cotton trousers that have worked out OK like that. I avoid anything with pleats on the front as they are hugely unflattering on my curves. H&M & Uniqlo also have some styles that work but so far everything I have tried there has had very disappointing fabric quality & they don't last a long work day without looking cheap by the end.
