I have to be less scruffy for a work breakfast event.

  1. dress and cardigan
  2. Fitted jacket with skirt.
I am apple shaped, mid 50s, pale/fair colouring. I will wear black heels. The winning outfit will be ironed.

Outfit one and agree about the colour. I think black would pull the outfit down

Thanks so much for your thoughts. I worry about the potential droopy factor of the cardy The jacket in 2 is nicely cut but probably does wash me out.
I'm in Melbourne - it is the last stretch of winter here. The label of the dress is savannah.

Outfit 1 wins!

Sorry but the second one looks much more professional. No one would be allowed to wear the first outfit at my place of work!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 12/08/2018 15:50

Outfit 2 - I don't like outfit one at all, sorry.

EmmaC78 · 12/08/2018 15:50

Second one for a work event.

What about the dress with a navy jacket?

Outfit 2, most definitely!

Nah the navy jacket somehow looks a bit old fashioned. You need a cropped jacket...please wear the dress and cardy. You will be fine. Wear sleek patent leather shoes with a bit of a heel.

The slouchy cardy won't be a problem if your posture is snappy..
