Definately if your hair is hard to tame like mine! Maybe there are some cheaper ceramic straightners which maybe ok if your hair is quite straight already.

lulumama · 01/06/2007 17:45

yes , without a doubt!

heat up extremley quickly , don;t catch your hair and pull it, straightens in one go, i love mine and would cry if anything happened to them

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 01/06/2007 17:46

I have John Freida ones which were half the price, and are just as good.

FelicityMontgomery · 01/06/2007 17:59

Yes. I got mine when recommended on here and very glad I did.

Babyliss pro ceramic straighteners are really good too.

RubberDuck · 01/06/2007 18:20

FHI Hair Tools are awesome (and cheaper)

Verso · 01/06/2007 21:02

yes - I resisted for years and attempted to use cheaper ones on my thick, frizzy hair, but they never worked properly and took ages.

Now I have some ghds and when I have 20 mins to do it (not always easy with a 2-yr-old) my hair looks fab - for DAYS!

chonky · 01/06/2007 21:02

oh yes - worth every penny

Pinkchampagne · 02/06/2007 18:47

They are worth every penny! They straighten my hair so much better than my old ceramic straighteners ever did!
