Flat shoes to a wedding??

DitchingTheDye · 30/07/2018 12:01

Please help!
I've bought this skirt to wear to a wedding. It's very flattering on and I love it! But what the hell shoes do I wear with it? I'm nearly 6ft so ideally I'd like something flat or very low heel. I don't have a clue where to start or even what colour to go for. Any ideas?

Lovely skirt. Presume the wedding is in the next couple of months? Wear pretty sandals. You could get black, white, black and white or pale pink ones, although I'd probably go for silver (or pale pink). Have a look in department stores which tend to have plenty of reduced sandals in different colours and styles at this time of year.

I would recommend an open sandal, or something with a pointed toe, otherwise it could look a bit frumpy and too casual.
ASOS have a great range of stylish and fancy looking flats.

Check these out to start: www.asos.com/women/occasion-wear/wedding-outfits/cat/?cid=15493&currentpricerange=5-450&nlid=ww|clothing|shop%20by%20occasion&refine=attribute_900:1562|attribute_989:5032

Thank you for the links Spanish. I think pointed shoes are really unflattering on me because I already have canoes for feet (size 8)!

That's a complete myth (amongst many things that tall ladies can't wear) if anything, they will look more slender.

You could pick out the green with these:

I really don't like those Ted Baker ones at all and I'm normally a big fan of their shoes.

What about sandals with a low block heel OP?

MrsRubyMonday · 31/07/2018 14:49

Honestly I would just wear some simple black sandles or ballet flats. Maybe with a little glitter or metal accents if I was wearing jewellery. I never wear heels and ballet flats are my go to shoe for an event, easy and go with everything.

laramara · 31/07/2018 15:04

Charles&Keith D'Orsay slingback flats in black look very smart!

secretgirl · 31/07/2018 17:14

Would you wear a little mid heel sandal? Very have a great selection in different colours. I have a pair and they are quite comfy. They are like the ones in your original picture juat with a small heel.
Marks and Spencer have lovely flat sandals too and ones with a little small wedge.

Clionba · 31/07/2018 17:36

Those green Ted Baker ones are horrible. There are so many lovely low heeled or flat shoes to choose from. Mostly very flattering!

CountFosco · 31/07/2018 19:56

Have a look on enbrogue for flat shoe inspiration.

specialsubject · 31/07/2018 20:11

those green comedy shoes.... sorry but are you in 'spamalot'?

the pointy ones are ok but who has feet that shape?

MadMaryBoddington · 31/07/2018 20:29

I like them.

EdWinchester · 31/07/2018 21:35

Those Ted Baker green things are a monstrosity.

DitchingTheDye · 01/08/2018 14:29

Secretgirl! I think you've done it! I really like those Clarks sandals from Very in your first link. Thank you!
Haha at all the Ted Baker green shoes opinions Grin
