Did you have any ‘work’ done for your wedding?

I.e Fillers, Botox etc? Specifically for your wedding?

I’m considering having some light filler a couple of months before my big day to help reduce the loss of volume under my eyes, plump that area up a bit. I also wouldn’t mind the teeny, tiniest bit of filler put in my top lip.

I feel like this will be viewed as a bit OTT but planned to start having fillers next year anyway?

When I married I did my own hair and make up, I wanted to look like myself.

Look at Kat Slater on Eastenders then tell me fillers look good 🤣 I actually think lip fillers (very subtle) and baby Botox can look ok but cheek fillers - god they’re always so obvious, cheap and awful.
How about a some good facials, get your brows done and even eyelash extensions? Fillers actually make most people look older because they’re so obvious.

I had a fake tan, so as not to look too ghostly in the dress Grin and a blow dry.
Sounds bonkers to have fillers or botox at your age OP or any age

Am I the only one that would be worried if they went wrong?!!!
And presumably your DH to be loves you as you are, not what you might look like after?
You will look great because you are happy.

I didn't and wouldn't - I didn't even diet for the wedding, much to the (rather insulting! I wasn't even overweight!) astonishment of many of the women I knew - but if it's what you want, isn't there an argument for trying it quite soon if the wedding's next year, so that you're not still on your first go at fillers? I would be very worried that you might not like the results and be stuck with them if you do it a couple of months before the wedding.

How can you possibly think you need fillers at 31? I'm the same age, and I look youthful... because I am! You don't need fillers until the oestrogen runs out!

I’ve been to a party today and one of DH friends wives has clearly had fillers in her face, she looked weird all bloated and shiny! She’s younger than me , think about 41 and she’s a pretty woman, but she’s really spoilt herself.

I’m 47 , my skins pretty good but I think I’m a bit hollowed out and gaunt because I do a lot of exercise but no way would I chance filler. I’ll just have to crack on.

The old classic rings true with brides - the prettiest thing you can wear is a smile. Less is more. I’d never judge anyone for having work done, but honestly you will look gorgeous on your wedding day if you’re happy and allow your emotions to shine through.
