Recommendation on deep conditioner?

I am late 40s with thick, dark wavy hair that is just beginning to go grey. I have a colour in it to highlight it a bit. It seems very dry, has lost its shine and smoothness, can be quite frizzy in humid weather. I have tried the weekly Frizzease deep conditioning treatment but think I need something a bit stronger. Any suggestions?

Treseme do a deep cleaning shampoo and wow it works.

One day a week I use vosene to get rid of Build up and then rest of time it's the above and every fortnight I use an argan oil hairmask.

I have alopecia and it's actually really helping regrowth and my hair is clean feeling even after wearing a wig daily.

Hope that helps

I use:

Shea Moisture mask (smells lovely , vanilla )

Bleach London Regenerate (just bought this and used this morning, nice but not as moisturising as the Shea)

Not keen on coconut oil , it makes my scalp itchy but I know loads of people get great results .

I've just started using Hask products. Their conditioners are excellent - the regular ones are superb but they also have deep treatments in sachets. You can get them in superdrug.
They're also suphate and silicone free (I think).

Soak your hair in apple cider vinegar before you apply a good olive oil and put a shower cap on your hair. Wash twice after 30 min.

I use coconut oil (from the cooking section) on my curly brittle haired children. I slap it on and they sleep in it with toweling wraps on their head.

Not deep conditioner but a pre shampoo treatment is phillip kingsley elastiser. I dye my hair monthly
and really abuse it and thid brings it back to life x

Also. Make sure your vitamin intake is good. Taking a hair vitamins supplement has made the world of difference to me - as well as the right product.

Thank you everybody- lots to try out to see which one works the best!

I second coconut oil. The one I use is 99p from Savers and it's amazing.

I do also like that Philip Kingsley Elasticiser though

tappitytaptap · 29/07/2018 07:52

Elasticiser is brill. I get Olaplex done at the hairdressers which seems to help for a bit, but needs something more regular. I actually really like the Aussie 3 min miracle stuff which is pretty cheap. My hair type is different to yours though, its quite fine, so I guess your hair could take something a bit heavier without looking greasy.

tappitytaptap · 29/07/2018 07:53

Those who use coconut oil - one from the cookmg section or a specialised hair treatment containing it?

dudsville · 29/07/2018 07:57

I recently bought done things from keratase, I love the oil based conditioner and also the hair oil. I'm washing my hair about every 5 days at the moment and putting hair oil on once or twice daily in between.

Alicatz66 · 29/07/2018 08:17

I'd say Elasticiser too .. Maria Nila deep conditioning stuff is great too

ParadiseLaundry · 31/07/2018 14:34

@tappitytaptap you can use either. The one I use from Savers is in the hair care section but says on the tub that you can eat it.

WhereAreWeNow · 31/07/2018 14:46

I second the Shea Moisture masques. They do a few different ones. The Jamaican Black Castor Oil one is amazing. It leaves your hair like silk (and makes the bath really slippery so be careful!).

SavoyCabbage · 31/07/2018 15:33

I use coconut oil from the cooking section,
