IPL/moles question

Hi

I'm very tempted to buy an IPL hair remover thingy today through Prime as there seem to be some quite big discounts. Really like the idea of saving money on waxing etc. However, I am quite a moley person. I have fewer moles in the areas I would be removing hair from but still, I've just read something alarming about IPL and moles. Is it just a question of not zapping moles or not using at all if you are moley?

TIA!!

The mole will absorb the heat. I use a cheapy white eyeliner and go over the couple of bigger/darker ones.

Cover the moles with white eyeliner when using the IPL device and avoid zapping them as much as is possible.

Oooh, thanks! Is there a particular brand you use/would recommend? Lumea seems to be highly rated and is much reduced, but still quite ££!

Which lumea would you buy? I don't know if the really expensive one is twice as good as the cheaper one?

I have no clue! I am looking at the one that is reduced to £299 and it doesn't get much better views than one for £139. I don't really know tbh...

Cheaper price generally means less flashes so it won’t last as long. Often also a smaller aperture and then there’s cordless or non cordless (cordless tends to be more expensive). Basically, cheaper ones are just as poweful but potentially less convenient and the device will die sooner than the more expensive one.

Thanks for info!
