I know there's been a lot of threads about sunscreen recently and I've got some great info off them however I need to know if there's a sunscreen that will stop tanning at all.
I have Mediterranean olive skin that tans soo easily it's Ridiculous.
I wear biore watery essence on face and beck and Aldi 50+ onthe rest of me.
Even just from driving my hands are 3 shades (at least) darker than the rest of me. I have significantly tanned on my forehead and nose.
Can anyone recommend a sunscreen that will stop tanning at all, I love my golden sun kissed tan but the fact that I'm tanning means that my skin is still being damaged by the sun so my sunscreen obviously isn't doing it's job well enough.
Please help.

Institut Esthederm do some no-tan products, aimed at people with sun intolerance - they do work, but aren't cheap

The institut one looks good but a bit out of my price range unfortunetly. My face doesn't tan as much as my hands so it's a bit much for me to spend just for my hands.

They do do a body one, but iirc, it's even more expensive than the facial one Confused. If it's mainly your hands that are the issue, how about wearing gloves Grin? I miss living overseas, where spf 50 was the lowest you could find Sad

Do you even get higher than factor 50 in the uk?
The only places in the world where they allow sales of higher SPF than 50 is places where the regulations are weaker.
Higher than 50 is not better - that is why it cannot be sold in the EU or Australia. Creams that are sold as SPF100 in the US, will be sold here as SPF50+

Another vote for Altruist - it's developed by a dermatologist, not a cosmetics company.

Sun screen won’t stop you from tanning. If you tan easily you will tan unless you stay indoors or covered up in many, many layers! I have similar skin to yours that tans ridiculously easily, I use factor 50 on face (body shop skin defence or the benefit dreamscreen) and body (ultrasun) and Sunglasses and sun hat and I’ve still tanned ridiculously. My face is less tanned than my regularly exposed body parts (legs/arms) (probably due to the hat).

Are you applying enough? You actually need to apply quite a lot to get the advertised SPF. A lot more than people usually do. And reapply frequently.
