Can anyone point me towards nursing clothes that aren't nursing/maternity combined that are nice to look at and wear?
I'm feeling very meh in everything and want to look like me again now my baby is 8 weeks old and we're finding our feet!

Do you want specific nursing clothes or normal clothes that you are able to BF in? If the latter, try joining the Can I Breastfeed In It? Facebook group - loads and loads of ideas and pics there

Cheap vest with an ordinary top over it. When you want to feed you pull the top up and the vest down. No special nursing clothes needed.

What CanaBanana said. It works so well and I always felt that nursing specific clothes ended up with me showing off more that I wanted.

I don't like doing the two tops thing in the warm weather. Op I'm going for tops that are 'button through ' basically the trendy new name for shirt style. New look do dresses like this too, worth checking? Stretchy vests from primark the easiest to feed in though IME.

Also however I'm feeding no 3 and no longer give any shits if a little bit of my stomach can be seen for a brief minute while i latch the baby on - so am ok with just pulling tops up now.

Agree that specific nursing clothes are almost always awful though. Had to bin one such sweater from h&m - nearly got stuck inside it so many times.

Agree with PPs - thin cotton vest with stretchy straps (I like M&S) and then normal, loose fitting top. Best comes down and top goes up.

I've bought so many nursing tops and dresses (H&M, Jojo, new look, seraphine) and I find they're almost universally less flattering and more revealing than the two top alternative.

Also personally I find shirts with buttons too revealing as you pretty much need to get the whole boob out.

ASOS do nursing stuff as do H and M but I also agree to try to perfect the one up one down thing, it's so much easier! (Took me12 months to figure that out!)

Also: wrap dresses / wrap tops are your friends. Combine with camisole top to pull up or a scarf if you need to be discreet. I also bought some cheap double layer floaty camisoles from H&M and snipped feeding slots in the bottom layer

I breastfed for 3 years, and didn’t once wear a ‘nursing’ item of clothing, and have yet to with my second child.

I wear a lot of jersey dresses, and simply pull these down and my boob out. Button through dresses and tops also work really well, as do regular tops/tshirts that I just pull up to my chest/neck, and pull my boob out. I then wear a nursing cover to conceal my boobs, as I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable sitting in public otherwise.

If you particularly want nursing clothes chicco jacks do a nice range. I've found anything that is maternity and nursing combined just isn't that flattering, the spare material makes you look bigger.

I second the Facebook group. There are so many good ideas on there

My baby is 11 weeks. I got a couple of these (link below) from ASOS and they're very discreet (though too hot for current heatwave!). Otherwise I've been wearing shirts (with muslin over shoulder to cover top of boob if necessary) and there are lots of button down dresses around. I got 2 nice ones in cos. Will also do the double top combo once it cools down a bit.

I hate how 'nursing' clothes are always maternity as well! You don't need all the extra fabric around your tummy after a few weeks post-partum.

I used wrap tops and dresses, or vest tops. At first I was quite self-conscious feeding in public and wrapped a blanket around us, but that soon went out the window! Never once had a negative comment.
