flat summery comfy shoes for 50 year old feet, but chic!

Yes, I need the impossible, some nice flat comfy shoes, that are stylish, maybe even chic. I'm about to start a new job and I will need to dash around campus, and trudge about on buses and on tubes to get there.

I don't want brogues, I would like something possibly in a pale metallic, possibly with a strap and with a nice soft sole. I would also like to be able to wear them bare legged.

I quite like these, but would rather not have silver or black. Same with these, but I think the sole looks a bit OTT. I don't need trainer or sandals as have some already.

Can you help???? Thanks in advance :D

Can you help?

I don't think your original links are chic- I would go for a classic loafer or ballerina.

How about these? www.johnlewis.com/dune-gianni-tassel-loafers/silver-leather/p3539982

Try Camper... So comfy and lots of shapes/options.

I know that they're not the prettiest, but you can't go wrong with Skechers for comfort. I have three pairs and I'm nearly 50 with sore feet.

Was about to suggest fitflops but see someone has beaten me to it. I've got two pairs and they're so comfortable, I can walk all day in them. The foot bed is cushioned and super soft and supportive with a slightly raised angled sole for arch support.

Having extolled the loveliness of the Lofina flatform sandals, just popping back to say that there's a Clarks dupe (in black or ivory) which costs less than one-third of the Lofinas. Style is called Un Karely Hall, and I found them in the sale today. Result!

@OCSock Hi there, can you reconfirm the style name? I can't see anything by that name... Unless that is your cunning game....

SarfE the style is called Un Karely Hail... I checked, but I couldn't find them on Clarks' website, and they were in the photos from today's That's Not My Age blog, but linked to a US site, which was sold out; it was just on the off chance I looked in a local shoe shop.

www.clarks.co.uk/c/Un-Karely-Hail/p/26132235 but only in a 4 and a 4.5.

PinkysEars · 10/07/2018 15:12

Lots of sizes in the black though.

Ooh they are lovely - nice bouncy looking sole. I used to value killer heels, but now I value bouncy sole Grin

I'm going to look at that blog too.
Thanks everyone on this thread - you've all been so helpful.

They were lovely in white too... I nearly bought both pairs! And they are pretty comfortable straight out of the box. I would tell you where I bought mine, but from your username I'm not sure it would help you to know they're in the sale in a small Devon town.
