I never like ‘moulded’ soles. I don’t like FitFlops because of the soles. I like chunky / platform if they have clean sharp lines. Prefer the Birkies linked.

They are a bit frumpy but it really depends on the rest of the outfit I think.

MsHomeSlice · 02/07/2018 20:15

it's the white sole....just nasty!

megletthesecond · 02/07/2018 20:19

A bit.
I'm 44 and wouldn't wear them.

eurochick · 02/07/2018 20:21

I agree with Sleep - it depends what you wear them with. They could look edgy or frumpy depending on the overall look.

Peanutbuttercups21 · 02/07/2018 20:42

They are very of the moment, especially with the white sole!

The same way that midi skirts are hot now

Suddenly 80% of M&S clientele are totally hip Grin

I think they look fine, wear them!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/07/2018 21:00

Shoes are not, of themselves, 'frumpy'. If you like them, and they are comfortable, wear them. They look as if they'd be potentially fine with either skirts, or culottes, or sun dresses, or rolled up jeans.

Floisme · 02/07/2018 21:01

Do you mean a) are they ugly? I find that's normally the case here Or b) are you worried in case people mistake you for an old lady?

If it's a) then why not just say so?
I think they're quite ugly but not not enough for my taste. To my eye there is something of the please-like-me about them which I don't think is ever stylish. I don't wear open toed sandals any more but when I did, I liked them unapologetically ugly. Let's face it, feet look funny and no amount of prettifying is ever going to change it.

If it's b) then I think it's highly unlikely given that you've said you're pregnant.

I am watching the football so a discussion about ageist stereotypes will have to wait until next time - I'm sure there'll be another before the end of the week.

YorkieDorkie · 02/07/2018 21:38

29 and I like them!
