Am I a spring or a summer?

I’ve done a ton of those online quizzes but still can’t figure it out!

I have pale skin ( with some freckles now the suns out) that can sometimes have red undertones. But I also sometimes see yellow undertones? I tan very lightly to a sort of pale honey colour but easily burn. I cannot work out of my veins are green or blue. One is definitely blue but the others are hard to distinguish.

My eyes are green but other people mistake them for blue. They go emerald green when I cry. Eyelashes and eyebrows are dark brown.

My natural hair colour is mouses brown but was a bright yellow blonde when I was a child. I have highlights and my hair is currently a warm blonde - too warm I think.

Anyone have a clue?! 😄

I don’t look good in cream.

That might point towards being a summer then. But it's really not wise for anyone, let alone us on the internet, to guess.

I am pale with freckles natural hair mid brown but often have auburn, chestnut, golden colours in it. Like you I burn and tan lightly.
I had my colours done many years I am a bright spring.
I now know I suit corals, red/orange, purple, cornflower blue, Aqua, mint green, most greens, bright colours, ivory or cream rather than white and navy brown or camel colours rather than black etc.
The lady wasn’t sure between spring or summer as I suited pale blue but not pale baby pink and I suit cream ivory rather than white.
It’s fab when you first realise your colours.

The 4 basic whites I was taught are
Pure white - Winters
Soft winter white, paler than cream or ivory - Summer
Cream - Spring
Oyster - Autumn

IME when you are young you can get away with anything, but as you get older there is a definite advantage to wearing your best colours.

LOOK at the soft summer palette. That is supposed to be the darkest of the summers, but very muted with a dash of warmth.

Typical colours in this palette are taupe, smoky purple, smoky blue and heathery grey. Anyway see if that is a good fit.

I think they are supposed to wear stuff in tonal colours and not too contrasting. Hair is ash shades and can be very dark. Eyes tend towards looking different depending upon what colour you are wearing.

Agree with the pp about it helping to wear the right colours as you get older and also if you are particularly pale as it can really lift your hair and complexion. People should be remarking you look well, not pointing out a particular item of clothing you've got on

saltedliquorice · 01/07/2018 17:03

LagoDiComo That’s exactly it or saying you look good is their something different about you, you look really good/well etc.
The best thing I noticed was I had more clothes to wear and it was so easy to pack for holidays, dress for work etc. Whereas, prior to this I had about 6 pairs of black trousers, umpteen black tops but could never seem to find anything to wear.
Now I struggle more as I am tall and have put weight on so don’t have as much choice as I once had.

WowLookAtYou · 01/07/2018 18:28

That's the thing. When people remark that you're looking well, 9 times out of 10 it will be because you're wearing a colour that suits you. Or, for me, when someone comments on how blue my eyes are, it will often be when I'm wearing periwinkle blue or another clear shade on the Spring palette.
