If you’ve got Rosacea have you ever tried Aleppo Soap?

I’ve been using the one with 40% Laurel Oil for a couple of months and I can’t believe the difference or that in all the years I’ve had Rosacea, I’ve never heard of Aleppo Soap before.

Has anyone else had good results?

No but where do you get it from? I’ve been clearish for ages but I’m getting a bit red and a few lumps with the heat on my face?

JiltedJohnsJulie · 29/06/2018 21:05

Sorry to hear that yours is getting worse Cheer. I got mine from True Obsession but I think you can get it on Amazon Smile

Should have said, I wash my face with it once or twice a day and then apply moisturiser. It did make my skin feel tight at first but the result is almost clear skin. I just have a little on my chin.

What type of rosacea did you have, if you dont mind me asking? I'm determined to sort mine this summer, through antibiotics if I need to, so other options are welcomed.

Rockandrollwithit · 29/06/2018 21:46

The only thing that has ever truly helped my roseacea is soolantra, combined with a very gentle skincare routine.

Rockandrollwithit · 29/06/2018 21:47

@knobjockey

Try soolantra, you can get it prescribed through Superdrug's website. It's a topical cream and has honestly changed my life!

JiltedJohnsJulie · 29/06/2018 21:49

Sorry I don’t know! Whichever kind it is, it’s very persistent. I started when I was PG with DS and he’s 14!

What types are there? I’ve had diet changes, antibiotics, creams and lotions. Nothing has helped like this Soap.

Sorry to hijack but does anyone have recommendations for a cleanser that doesn't require washing off (cream cleanser?) for when your skin is feeling sore & itching & you don't want the harshness of a wash?

HyacinthsBucket70 · 29/06/2018 21:51

DH has got terrible rosacea, and quite by chance I bought him some Kalme skincare after finding it online. It's made a huge difference to him, and they do a wide range of products. The cleansing stuff is utterly gorgeous.

I'll have a look at this soap though.

JiltedJohnsJulie · 29/06/2018 21:51

Oh and I’ve tried that too. It’s difficult to remember everything I’ve tried over 15 years Smile

I’ve had a big change after using soolantra too. Will have a look at the soap thank you.

HarrietSchulenberg · 29/06/2018 22:02

Do any of these help with the redness as well as the lumps?

KnobJockey · 29/06/2018 22:28

I've been using soolantra for about 2 months now after seeing it recommended here, it's cleared the bumps but had no affect on the redness. How long did it take for it to take affect for those who it worked for?

Jilted, some people have just red flushing that comes on and goes, some have it constantly, some have it there constantly with spots/lumps under the skin, and some have broken veins as far as I know.

I have a few lumps and spots which have been reduced since starting soolantra, but constant red patches on one cheek and my nose aren't going, and I've noticed my other cheek showing signs of it.

KnobJockey · 29/06/2018 22:37

Duck life, the La Roche Posay toleriane cream cleanser is very gentle and doesn't irritate at all. It's not too great at properly cleansing, but for those days when you're skin can't handle anything it feels nice Smile

ducklife · 29/06/2018 22:51

Knobjockey Grin I love le Roche posay stuff so I'll try it a thanks

zippyswife · 29/06/2018 22:57

Avene extremely gentle cleanser is a wipe off one. I really rate their products. My rosacea was really bad years back. If I veer away from Avene it returns overnight!

farrahbright · 29/06/2018 23:49

I've used the ordinary's azaleic (sp?) Acid for my roseacea and found it really helps.
Sounds really harsh but if you read up on it; it has quite comforting feedback and information.
Luckily it's fairly reasonable so thought it was worth a try?

JiltedJohnsJulie · 30/06/2018 08:31

Thanks Knob mine is very red with lumps and extremely dry and sore. Not anymore though Grin
