I have been using Flexitol for my really dry feet.
I had bad athletes foot now largely under control, but the sides of my feet are still dry and peeling and nothing is working. Any suggestions please?

Anyone?

I find Flexitol doesn’t work for me unless I pumice my feet religiously.

I just use a regular bog standard pumice stone after a bath or shower then slather the flexitol on.

NotARegularPenguin · 29/06/2018 15:18

Lurking as am having the same issue.

I did start pumice stoneing last night so will see if adding that in helps at all.

which one are you using? there is a 25% urea version and a 10% version?

CarrieErbag · 29/06/2018 15:20

I'm doing all that. Newton chiropody sponge, flexitol.....
Getting rid of hard skin but just have dry peeling feet that aren't improving.

CarrieErbag · 29/06/2018 15:21

The 10% one i think bruffin.

Also tried cuplex with 25% urea, that did naff all too.

Try the 25% then i started using it again a few days ago and definitely and improvement. I have dyshidrotic eczema on my feet and it helps helps with the dryness of that as well.

PickAChew · 29/06/2018 15:34

So long as your feet aren't bleeding, you need to footer them!

CarrieErbag · 29/06/2018 15:35

I shall give that a whirl, just been googling and it looks very much like dermatitis from the pictures I've seen.

I’m doing the 25% flexitol and can’t even get rid of the dry skin. It’s just a big, thick pad of it on both big toes.

CarrieErbag · 29/06/2018 15:37

I thought coroner was for hard skin mainly? I'll give that a whirl then also.
Thanks all.

Coroner? Bloody autocorrect, footner Hmm

borntobequiet · 29/06/2018 15:38

Go to a chiropodist. They will remove it with a scalpel.

CarrieErbag · 29/06/2018 15:41

Bruffin your eczema sounds/looks painful.

OP posts:
bruffin · 29/06/2018 16:09

It's soo, so itchy Sad

NotARegularPenguin · 29/06/2018 16:11

Would I really need a chiropodist....would a pedicure person do it?

Floralnomad · 29/06/2018 16:15

O’Keefes dry foot cream is excellent , I’d tried loads of different ones before and it’s by far the best . I’d also go to the GP and see if they can give something stronger for the athletes foot than you can buy OTC .

HyacinthsBucket70 · 29/06/2018 16:20

Margaret Dabbs foot hygiene cream. It's around £20 a pot, and for the first time in my life, I have got rid of my atheletes foot and got baby soft feet. I use it twice a day and it's even helped get rid of the hardened skin I have above my ankle bones. Flexitol has never worked for me.

Catsandkids78 · 29/06/2018 16:21

VIX - my feet have sometimes got AF, peel regularly. Smother my feet in this and its an overnight miracle.

I read this online. Did it lastnight and feet are lovely this morning.

DextroDependant · 29/06/2018 17:23

I literally just ordered some flexitol this morning after reading people raving about it on here. Just my luckGrin

Branleuse · 29/06/2018 17:27

have you tried washing with soap rather than shower gel
shower gel dries feet out badly. My feet are much nicer this year switching to soap.

Also I find body shop hemp foot cream to be good stuff

Timefortea99 · 29/06/2018 17:36

The Margeret Dabbs Foot file is the dogs bollocks for hard skin. Not the one they sell in M & S, the one that costs about 25 quid which you can get from various places online. The M & S one is about 15 I think but it is the lite version.

CountFosco · 29/06/2018 17:50

I use the 25% flexitol, the 10% one doesn't cut it. I apply it once a day in the morning after swimming so my skin is full of water which I think helps as well.

WigglyBlossom · 29/06/2018 17:51

Coroner?!! You've got a big dry skin problem then.

I'm having a similar problem. Am using my Ped-egg and Flexitol religiously atm. Had recent surgery and my skin and hair has gone haywire since Sad
