What brand do you use? How liberal are you with application and how do you avoid looking like an iridescent glitter ball?

I have a no7 one that's lovely for a subtle lift, and have used benefit highbeam in the past but wasn't blown away.

Will be watching this thread to see what others use!

To apply I can a little on to my ring finger and then pay along my cheek bone, building up more as I go

*dab and pat!

VladmirsPoutine · 24/06/2018 15:18

Thanks Louis do you use it as part of your everyday make-up or just on occasions?

I use Hourglass. I use a small beauty blender sponge and put it along my cheekbones, forehead, under eyebrows, top of my lip.

dundermiflin · 24/06/2018 15:20

I love the Hourglass one as it doesn't look glittery, it's more dewy.

I use benefit watts up and a two faced powder one, that's a champagne type highlight ideal for olive skin.

I can only afford cheaper options so have a few from makeup revolution and some fro. MUA (both available in superdrug).
The revolution baked highlterys and the skin kiss and both pretty shiny and obvious which I don't mind but applied with a lighter hand can be more subtle.
The MUA single ones are again pretty blinding but they do a little pallettes in the luxe line that's more flow from within.

I also got a pallete from George at asda that has 4 shades that on searching look very pigmented however aren't as blinding on the face.
I apply with a fan brush for a more subtle look.

I use Becca in Moonstone. You can go from super subtle to full on tin man!

I also use the Moonchild Palette from ABH, but that is definitely not subtle - it's pink, green, blue, purple! But I love it for an iridescent unicorny look, and also if you are super subtle with the application it can look quite natural and beautiful, like a teeny 'Ooooh what's that on your face' glimpse.

I am terrible, I love the iridescent ones that are really obvious, but only put them on my cheekbones. (The rest of my face is shiny enough as it is.) I really want the ABH palettes with the unusual colours, but I have palettes from other brands that are much cheaper (L'Oréal holographic glow kit, Makeup Revolution cool glow kit.)

I also have various single highlighters from MUA and MUR, MUA have aqua, blue, purple and a really dark purple they did for Halloween, as well as lighter subtle ones and ones that would look stunning on darker skin tones.

Soap and Glory Hocus Focus dabbed on top of cheekbones as last step of makeup works well for me.
