Has anyone been able to "cure" or at least reduce themselves of those annoying red bumps?
Just looking for some tips and advice Smile

Gold Bond bumpy skin cream

smells like wee, so only use it at night, but it really really works

Mine virtually vanished and has stayed away since I switched from shower gel to bar soap. Any old bar soap will do, in my experience. My switch was inspired by some of the brilliant soap threads in this forum recently. Seems like a great many users have noticed skin improvements, including KP, when they switch to soap.

Can I ask which Ameliorate to get? There's a lotion but also a scrub on Amazon. Smile

MooseBeTimeForSpring · 13/06/2018 05:25

I was hesitant to post until I read Sycamore’s reply. I had great success simply switching to natural bar soap. My results have even convinced friends to try it too, also with great results.

The only thing that has ever helped mine is sun exposure. Mine used to get really bad in the winter and then by mid summer it went.

Ski40 · 13/06/2018 06:08

I agree with sun exposure. It helped me.
I also used to exfoliate with a thick paste made of olive oil or baby oil with sugar on a loofah. Then lots of cocoa butter. Omega 3 supplements and lots of water. I used to have it bad but it's been virtually gone for years. Good luck xx

Using a urea based cream

Happycow · 13/06/2018 06:58

Mine (on my arms for best part of 20 years) has very significantly improved by using this lotion containing urea, and a further improvement after I switched from shower gel to a bar soap.

Lanate Body Cream. Made for this! Someone on here actually recommended it to me ages ago and I've used it ever since

Going gluten free. Takes months rather than days but completely changed the skin on my arms and back of legs. X

Branleuse · 13/06/2018 08:09

occasional use of hair removal cream works for me, as it dissolves the excess keratin that is clogging your skin up

OrcinusOrca · 13/06/2018 14:02

@Happycow snap! I got that yesterday in Boots. It's 25% off in there so about £10 currently.

QueenofLouisiana · 13/06/2018 16:44

Also bar soap- I use old fashioned Shield soap. It’s maee a big difference and at £1.70 for 2 bars or whatever, its so cheap it’s got to be worth a try.

MissMarplesKnitting · 13/06/2018 16:46

Soap here too. And a body puff or other exfoliating implement. Followed by moisturiser, I like the aveeno spray on cos I am lazy.

My soft arms have been commented on!

Nutellalovesme · 13/06/2018 17:27

Interesting how some have seen improvement after switching to soap.
I am currently using oliva it's a olive oil soap from H&B.
Must look into the creams mentioned

Glycolic lotions, I used neostrata lotion plus (15%) and couldn’t stop stroking my arms after a few days! Amazing

Happycow · 13/06/2018 19:50

@orcinusorca thank you for the tip! I'll be off tomorrow for another bottle!
