If you were 49 and a good size 14, but you wanted to look effortlessly glam and Boho, WHAT THE HELL WOULD YOU WEAR?!

As I have lived in jeans and boring safe work wear for the last few years. I have two posh things coming up and quite fancy the Boho maxi dress instablogger look. But fear I will look like a galleon in full sail in a floaty maxi. How can I replicate that look without looking like a fat twat??

I like midi length. Really not keen on hush or lagenlook, sorry. Other stories could be worth a shout

I know it's Boden but these would be nice if you could get a good discount in a promotion or a sale. As long as the posh boho events were more like a wedding than a festival eg didn't involve mud and wellies. I especially like the green and it looks as though it would usefully double up as a dressing gown should the need arise.

I'm your age and size! I know you say you don't like Hush, I also don't like most of Hush but I do have this hush dress and it's amazingly flattering. (And does actually make me feel boho and glam!) So I can definitely recommend a maxi with that kind of shape and a waist. Or get one without a waist, and add a belt.

I also second finery. I have a lovely midi from there. (via ebay... ebay is a good way to try out a new style without breaking the bank.)
