Are pashmina's a bit passé?

Going to a summer wedding. My dress has fluted sleeves, so a jacket is out.

What do I do in the evening if it's cooler?

I only wear mine as a scarf in winter. I haven't worn as a shawl for nearly twenty years. Maybe they are due a revival?

I've seen lots of people wearing pashminas for shawls at events, with it without jackets.

Have a great time!

See I think they're a bit timeless. Just wear what's appropriate with your outfit.

StruggsToFunc · 10/06/2018 19:10

I think pastel pashminas in combination with little feathery fascinators are very dated, but big blankety shawls are timeless, especially in a good quality and weight of cashmere, or with lovely texture or embroidery.

I think they're fine for a wedding.

PrimalLass · 12/06/2018 11:16

IMO they are naff and annoying. Keep slipping off. Just get a nice wee thin cardi or something.

Oops just saw the sleeves issue. That's why I don't buy things with messy sleeves.

This looks ok, but not the early 2000s draped across the arms look.
