Do these look like pyjamas

I'm generally a jeans person when it comes to trousers so getting patterned ones like these is quite a departure.
I'm two months post partum and nowhere near back to normal shape and with the weather I'm struggling as can't wear dresses due to breastfeeding, all summer cropped jeans and shorts too small etc.

So bought these yesterday. Was feeling quite pleased with them till DH said he liked my new pyjamas Sad

I have similar trousers and two members of my household accused me of wearing my jammas the other day Hmm

I think it's the top you're wearing them with. If you swapped to a black vest top with some black sandals then they would look less like nightwear. I like them.

You can get other patterned trousers which don't look like pyjamas. I think yours do because they are baggy, look thin and are tight around your ankles.

There are so many styles of these trousers they will pass fine as patterned trousers with a different top & sandals

This is what i was wearing mine with Shock

I agree with a plain black vest top, sqndals amd a nice necklace to make the statement that you are dressed.

boatrace30 · 09/06/2018 09:21

Thanks all. I was wearing a black vest top when DH made the PJ comment!
I think I'll keep them though. Obviously would be wearing sandals if outside.

The same style but all in one colour look much better imo
That’s what I’m mostly wearing atm (I’m 4 months postpartum and struggling with lumpy c section tum)
The other day I wore a khaki pair with a black vest top and black sandals with a denim shirt open over the top, I got lots of compliments on my outfit which hasn’t happened in a long time, felt nice Smile

PS wow that wall is yellow! Grin

WildCherryBlossom · 09/06/2018 09:25

The trousers are ok, but dresses aren't out of the picture when breastfeeding. I wore shirt dresses and wrap front dresses a lot when bf. I had several bf vests with vents so I could unbutton the shirt dress without revealing too much of myself.

boatrace30 · 09/06/2018 09:31

Thanks @WildCherryBlossom - I've tried a couple of shirt dresses on but they look terrible with my stomach as it is (also a c-section... @PinkBall ) - haha - it's a feature wall, the rest is white. It looks quite good irl!

I think in principle patterned trousers are fine. But I think the colour you’re wearing is difficult to match. I have a couple of H&M navy blue spotty and tile print trews and wear them with navy linen t shirts/vest tops to elongate myself. As am little and size 14.With coordinating tops they look a little less pj-like .

goose1964 · 09/06/2018 19:25

I'm wearing a similar cut pair today. They're navy and white spotty and I'm wearing a pale blue t-shirt with them. They're a decent weight and don't look like PJs. I'm not sure if yours are long enough , try them on with shoes too. They look really comfortable and would always do for wearing around the house if you're not sure
