Any eye lash serums that actually work??

I tried one years ago, the rapid lash I think it was and it hurt my eyes so couldn’t use it. Are there any that actually work?

My lashes used to be long and thick but thanks to stress last year lost a lot of hair (now under control) and my lashes never fully recovered. They are long but sparse and some aren’t so long. I take a supplement but wonder If any of the serums help?

Have you tried castor oil? I have found that this works just as well if not better than any serums. Much cheaper as well! Smile
(should probably add that you apply to lashes not eat it!)

No haven’t read that... have heard of people putting it in their hair and ruining it though??

Not a serum but my eyelashes have grown and filled out since Eyeko's Lash Alert mascara as it has caffeine in it, and once I got the knack of putting it on it has given me lovely lashes.

GrannyGrissle · 07/06/2018 21:27

How does it ruin hair? Shock

Bugjune · 07/06/2018 21:30

Been using Revitalash since the beginning of March and my lashes are thicker and much longer, with mascara on they look insane! Definitely worth it.

DilbyGlipob · 07/06/2018 21:33

Nanolash works a treat.

Luc450 · 07/06/2018 21:34

Revitalash definitely works, at one point my Lower lid eyelashes which I normally don’t have any of grew so long with using it they were scratching my eyeballs, it was weird. But anyway just to say I second revitalash...only down side is when you stop using it your eyelashes will eventually go back to normal

I got the Boots one to save ££££ and it has worked for me. Much happier with them now.

Rapid Lash used to be great years ago but they were forced to change the formulation. I found it didn't really work.

As for not wearing eye make up for six weeks not true I've gone months without wearing it and my eyelashes were the same.

Theusual · 08/06/2018 05:35

Revitalash is expensive but I have been using it every other day since Christmas and my eyelashes have gone from stubby to so long I can’t wear sunglasses.

llmb · 08/06/2018 09:01

Ok fab will look at that one. Does anyone use it have sensitive skin? Wonder if this one will be ok and not sting like the rapid lash. To be fair that was over 5 years ago, if not more so I’m hoping they are better developed now! Is it just at night you apply?

Just had a google... £50 for a 6 week supply??

I bought castor oil off amazon thanks to Mumsnet; it has the dual benefit of helping eyelashes and eyebrows and is a fraction of the price. I also like the fact it’s a more natural substance too!

I’ve been using it for just over two months and I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my lashes and especially my brows. Not so dramatic that my lashes are too long for glasses, but it’s definitely helping. You have to be patient and add it to your nightly face routine.

Theusual · 08/06/2018 09:08

I think I paid £40 or £45 and it said six weeks but mine has lasted a lot longer - 6 months!

Theusual · 08/06/2018 09:10

I figured it was a lot but I was getting eyelash flares and revitalash has worked out cheaper.

CutesyUserName · 08/06/2018 09:12

I use what is essentially Lumigan (latanoprost) directly from my local Spanish pharmacy. It works fantastically and is only a few euros a bottle. It can have side effects though, so read up before you decide if it's for you or not.

Mercurial123 · 08/06/2018 10:10

I'm going to try the Boots No7 the price is reasonable. Castor oil didn't work for me.

Gladstone123 · 08/06/2018 10:33

Hi there, I've tried lots of different lash serums, and by far the best one I've found is called Spectaculash (find it on Amazon). It's about £25 but a bottle lasts about 5 weeks and it has made a big difference my lashes. They were REALLY short but now they look great. Ok so they are not touching my glasses, but I now no longer wear fake lashes when I go out so am well chuffed not to have to deal with all that faff!

mintmagnummm · 08/06/2018 12:21

The nouveau lash and brow serum is really good and around £20. It's in a mascara type bottle with a mascara wand so it's very easy to apply to

mintmagnummm · 08/06/2018 12:30

This one looks good! May try it....

Any eye lash serums that actually work??
ScreenQueen · 08/06/2018 12:47

As per @CutesyUserName 's post, I've done Lumigan. They make eyelashes look like feather dusters Grin. As she's already mentioned too, anyone going for this needs to check side-effects and contraindications. I stopped using it because my lashes were bashing into my sunglasses (was living in a sunny country) and also I became sensitive to it and started to experience side effects (which fully reversed for me). Lots of before/afters on Google and based on my experience I'd say >99% of them are authentic.

llmb · 08/06/2018 13:20

Mine used to be long enough to hit glasses, that’s why my eye sight is crap as when I was a kid I tefused to wear than due to my lashes hitting them!

Ah there’s a few to try.... can you do a patch test? Could I put a blog on back of my hand or something? Although if it’s my eyes, I’m guessing putting it some where else won’t be reliable enough?

Rapid lash is great but I've switched to castor oil a few weeks ago for cost reasons and am very impressed so far. Especially on brows like a pp.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 08/06/2018 14:17

Revitalash - yes its ££ and you need to make sre you get the real one (there are apparently fakes out there)

I got some from QVC , I use Revitabrow , my DD has the Revitalash.

She had good eyelashes before but now everyone is convinced she has fakes lashes or extensions. She;s been using since January .
My brows look less shabby but they'll never recover from my tweezer happy teen/20s.

I bought castor oil but it was vile on my eyes .
