Do I get a refill or just pay to have this one put back on? It's fallen off for some reason. No idea why, has just gradually fallen off. All the others are fine

I can't see a single nail correction on their price lists Envy

I don't know if an infill will work because the others haven't even grown out much at all yet so how will the refill them?

They were done on Saturday afternoon

To be honest if they were only done last Saturday I would expect them to replace it free of charge!

Dermymc · 07/06/2018 22:04

They've done a bad job, those nails are awful.

winchesterfan · 07/06/2018 22:05

I'd go elsewhere, they don't look great which is more than likely why you've one at one

EdWinchester · 07/06/2018 22:07

Sorry, OP but those nails are dreadful. A really bad job.

Justwaitingforaline · 07/06/2018 22:09

Another one sorry, but they look awful! Was it a professional nail tech or a trainee?

ObiJuanKenobi · 07/06/2018 22:12

OP I'm so sorry but did someone honestly charge you real money to do that to you Shock

I've had acrylics for 10 years and never seen anything so badly done! Please don't go back there. Ever.

pieceofpurplesky · 07/06/2018 22:14

They are dreadful.

littlepooch · 07/06/2018 22:16

Theyve been really badly applied. None of them should look like that! You should complain and get them taken off and go somewhere else! X

happymummy12345 · 07/06/2018 22:59

I agree, they're not professional at all. I've had acrylics for a long time.
I'd honestly go somewhere else and get them all sorted at least.

ObiJuanKenobi · 07/06/2018 23:09

Also don't just get it stuck back down - you'll get nail rot fungus if any moisture gets trapped under it

Sallystyle · 07/06/2018 23:12

Yes, soak them in pure acetone and get them off.

They really are bad and I can't believe they charged you.

WhiskeySourpuss · 07/06/2018 23:28

Go to a different salon & have them removed properly, as PP's have said they don't look as if they've been done by a professional.

I permanently have acrylic overlays & they last 3 weeks (I've never had one come off) for the bottom to be peeling so badly after less than a week is shocking to be honest.

YullBeHappy · 08/06/2018 07:00

Hi all, sorry for my late response!

I'm not sure what other nail salon I could go to? Sad

They're all similar to this... I've been to 4 different ones in the area and none stay on for longer than a week and a half max.

I had something similar happen where one came off before, at a similar salon, and I asked if they'd fix it.

I then went to go and said "is it free of charge" and they pretended didn't understand me so I ended up paying £5.

Their English isn't good at this salon either so not sure how far I will get

It's £25 for a full set, and £20 for a refill.

All the others are £27+ for a full set and equally as bad. Plus their English even worse

OakIsBetterTho · 08/06/2018 07:06

Sorry op but they are very badly done. I wouldn't go back at all. Go to another salon, a proper one with good reviews and photos of their work, and have them removed and replaced completely.
I get acrylics quite often and they last up to about 5 weeks sometimes without a single mark and there's certainly never any peeling or lifting!

Sallystyle · 08/06/2018 07:47

Do you have any mobile nail techs in your area OP?

YullBeHappy · 08/06/2018 08:50

I don't think I do have any mobile techs in my area. Does anyone know of any good places to search?

We don't have any Facebook pages for this area Hmm it's very odd!

Oaks I'm shocked at an acrylic set lasting 5 weeks! You've been treated too splendidly Envy

CurlsLDN · 08/06/2018 08:50

Can I just say op that your natural nail actually looks so much nicer than the acrylics! Save yourself £20 in future.

I'm not against fake nails at all and have had them myself, but due to some kind of optical illusion your fake nails look broader and squatter than your natural ones. I think a nice clear polish on your natural nails would look much more elegant on you.

YullBeHappy · 08/06/2018 09:09

Curls Thank you!

The only issue would be now repairing them and just putting a clear gel on since acrylics really ruin my nails Sad

Fluffycloudland77 · 08/06/2018 10:02

Which area are you in?.

Heismyopendoor · 08/06/2018 10:07

OMG op, they are horrific!

Please stop going to those places, go to a place that speaks English! You mustn’t have a salon that speaks English! I would never go to any salon that is ‘foreign’ stay away!

TheFairyCaravan · 08/06/2018 10:16

I had nail extensions for the first time about 6 weeks ago and they looked like that. I was really embarrassed by them but the woman was training and did them for free.

The first one fell off that night in bed followed by 2 more pretty swiftly. I went somewhere else and had them soaked off. My nails are so damaged but I'm putting Solar oil on every day on the advice of the lady who took them off and they're getting better but still not back to normal.

I'm never having extensions again.

SouthernComforts · 08/06/2018 10:23

I've never seen clear acrylics before OP! Is it just a tip with plain acrylic over it? Why do you have that? Sorry genuinely curious!

Would you not be better with a nude gel over your natural nail while they strengthen?

EnidButton · 08/06/2018 15:29

I agree with Curls I think you'd be better giving your own nails a second chance. Break the vicious circle of damage = acrylics = damage...
I bet in a couple of months they'll be healthy again. If you want to try, massaging an oil into the base of the nail seems to help with blood flow and growth. I like Essie cuticle oil (think it's apricot), basic Neutrogena hand cream (red top) and swear by OPI nail envy. A glass/crystal nail file will stop any breakages and splits and I like to use a four sided buffer once a week but you might need to hold off on bugging until the damage has gone.

Your own healthy nails with some shine or a colour on them will be nicer imo and lower maintenance in the long run.

I wouldn't go back to that place either way. They've done a bad job unfortunately.

makeupmaven · 08/06/2018 16:12

Those aren't good, OP! Are they supposed to be clear or are they meant to be a French manicure?

I always get my nails done at the cheap (foreign-run) salons but they do a great job and mine always last a month... at least. They should NOT fall off! I pay a similar price to you too. Whereabouts are you?
