Are these ok? I know they probably wouldn't win any style awards but are they at least not horrible? I want some comfy walking sandals for trekking around Disney so I'm not too bothered about how they look, but on the other hand don't want to look like somebody's gran Grin

Personally I think they are awful, sorry. However people who have Teva sandals really rate them for comfort. At least they are not the horrid fabric ones.

LinoleumBlownapart · 05/06/2018 11:40

They look like the sandals that my DH'a 96 year old grandad wears. Sorry. I'm not a fan of sandals though, so probably not giving a non biased view.

LinoleumBlownapart · 05/06/2018 11:42

Timberland do nice women's sandals that are comfortable and not fugly.

FlibbertyGiblets · 05/06/2018 11:47

Thing is - you do not want ribbon feet so if they fit and are comfy then fuck it. Get them. Am being serious. And who is going to be looking at your trotters when there's Goofy et al to gawk at.

VogueVVague · 05/06/2018 11:50

URGH!!!!!

LunaTheCat · 05/06/2018 11:58

They look comfy - which is what you need.
They are not stylish but you are prizing comfort - very sensible.
Sandals don’t not an putfit make - make sure test outfit stylish ( t shirt, slouchy denim shorts artfully draped scarf, big sunglasses etc - you will be fine!

BadTasteFlump · 05/06/2018 13:48

Aw I knew most of you would say that Sad

I was trying to find some pics of them looking nice - would this link persuade anybody?

I love my Tevas. I have two pairs of the sandals, rather than the sliders. They're so comfy and I always get compliments on them, believe it or not. The only problem I have is very obvious Teva sandal tan marks on my feet Grin

BadTasteFlump · 05/06/2018 18:28

Silly I could 😘 you! My finger is hovering over the 'buy' button now! Tbh I'm drawn to the sliders as they're on sale at £14, so if I never wear them again after my holiday it won't matter...

I ordered these a few days ago , such a bargain , they're on their way..fuck it if they're comfy I don't care.

Bugjune · 05/06/2018 18:32

The MN sandal threads are fast becoming my favourites, Grin

Vitalogy · 05/06/2018 18:45

I think you've used up your photo allowance for the day Grin Only joking. The model in the link has convinced me they're fine. How much are they?

Member · 05/06/2018 18:49

Like them , no strap to rub heel, neutral colour and pretty timeless 👍

Belindabauer · 05/06/2018 18:50

You absolutely need comfortable footwear if you stealing around a theme park all day.
The thing I would say is are you intending on going on rollercoasters?
If so you will need footwear which fastens into your foot such as trainers.
Trust me when I tell you , you will look more of a berk in unsensible footwear.
Absolutely nobody will be looking at sensible shoes and thinking negative things.

sillyswimmer · 05/06/2018 18:51

BadTasteFlump buy them! Buy them! Buy them! I'd live in mine, if I didn't have to wear closed toe shoes for work.

Lavalamped · 05/06/2018 18:56

They look nice to me

LadyKyliePonsonbyFarquhar · 05/06/2018 18:57

I have just bought these Timberland sandals. A bit pricey but really comfortable. I bought them on a recent city break and walked miles.

Will they be alright on the rides without heel straps?

@BadTasteFlump don't listen to the haters! If they caught your eye and will be comfy then buy them :-)

BadTasteFlump · 05/06/2018 19:06

@Vitology they're reduced to £14 in the sale which is the biggest draw tbh Smile

I've gone on rollercoasters in flip flops before & nobody objected - the time before I cut my feet to bits in converse so flip flops were the only things that didn't rub my blisters. I'm too much of a wuss to go on anything too nuts anyway!

I'm ordering them... I think Grin

Finding comfy non-frumpy sandals is hard! I have to say I wouldn't buy a pair without a back strap if I was going to be walking all day, plus going on rides could be tricky- these could easily fall off. If you want Teva I would prefer these : www.teva.co.uk/1015120.html?dwvar_1015120_color=BRN#start=7&cgid=women-sandals.

Or I have been looking at Clarks Arla Jacory: www.clarks.co.uk/c/Arla-Jacory/p/26125965
The soles of these are so comfy - all squishy. They are called 'Cloudstopper'. Only thing is that sizing is a bit weird. I am normally a 6, but because I have slim feet the 5.5 fits best, although I am a bit worried that the elastic will be a bit tight if my feet get hot and swell slightly.

BadTasteFlump · 05/06/2018 19:09

@Tumpy I prefer those too but they're not £14... 😂
