AIBU to be disappointed about this dress?

I recently ordered this dress from ASOS

www.asos.com/asos/asos-floral-print-kimono-sleeve-wrap-midi-dress/prd/9569802?iid=9569802&custref=153085696&affid=14564&channelref=email&orderref=332819381

And it's lovely, I really like how it looks on me, but the quality isn't great I feel. A few seams here and there aren't very sturdy, but the worst offender is right at the bustline at the bottom of the v-neck, the seam is coming apart - you can clearly see the threads coming loose.

I think for £45 a dress should have better quality than this, but maybe my years of charity shops and make-do-and-mend type fashion choices mean that I'm too cheap and £45 is a normal price to spend on a dress that isn't well made?

I wanted something nice to wear for an event next Saturday, but I think I'm going to have to send this back and look elsewhere for a dress.

To be honest, I'm not entirely in love with the way the fabric has been cut and how the pattern doesn't line up, but I was prepared to overlook that before seeing the threads poking out of loose seams.

It does look quite cheap material in the pictures. It’s annoying when you’re looking toward to getting something and it doesn’t look/ feel as good as you’d hoped.

£45 for polyester? Primark will sell something similar for £13. If you're not happy, return it. Fwiw, I no longer shop at asos as the things I have bought have been awful and their customer service is awful.

See, I don't know how to tell if something looks cheap in photographs! I can often tell by feel, I know how to sew (though it's been a long time since I've sewn any clothing) and have a vague idea of how fabric should be cut/sewn/drape but still need to learn a few things if I want to be discerning from a picture.
