Swimming Costumes-I'm big and saggy of nork, and I need one that doesn't make me look like my mother.

My Bikini wearing days are over due to hanging, stretched marked sack where stomach used to be.

So It'll have to be a cossie.

Now, all the ones I have spied have been for small perky breasted woman, which I am unfortunately not. My norks are pendulous.

All the underwired or supportive ones wouldn't have looked out of place in the Freeman's catalougce circa 1971.

I am a 36F and I am a size 14. (although by the time I go on holiday, I hope to be smaller, but due to that fact I can't stop scoffing, I ought to stop kidding myself)

CODalmighty · 20/05/2007 18:39

here so worht every penny

Carmenere · 20/05/2007 18:40

Right I am a bit like you IGW except a size 18, tall with a long body.
I needed one in a hurry and trawled the highstreet and tried on many swimsuits. And because I was in a hurry money wasn't an object. In the end I gave up and bought one in Primark without trying it on in desperation. And suprise, suprise it is lovely. Long enough, supportive and made in a really thick fabric.

IntergalacticWalrus · 20/05/2007 18:41

That's a good possibility actually. Ta.

I hate fecking swimwear

As COD says Bravissimo is the place to go....they have full bras inside them and are lovely...dear but worth it!
Bravissimo swimwear

Carmenere · 20/05/2007 18:41

Oh and it was £8. Seriously, just go and get one as a back up.

DaisysGotABigBump · 20/05/2007 18:41

oops too late

IntergalacticWalrus · 20/05/2007 18:46

I shall check out Primark actually. I have never been, but it might be a good place to stock up on holiday stuff.

I might even brave driving into Bristol to do it....

agree Bravissimo - I have a tankini which has a proper underwire. THe top meetsthe bottom so is like a full cossie, just more practical.

CODalmighty · 20/05/2007 19:35

i tell you the bravsiimo one is good as it has aback fastener
look at it

hoxtonchick · 20/05/2007 19:45

i have a fantabulous fantasie one from last year. it was £££ but funky print & decent support. i got it from john lewis.

sideways · 20/05/2007 20:28

I find the Bravissimo ones far too short in the body.

brimfull · 20/05/2007 23:48

sorry this one

beckybrastraps · 21/05/2007 00:12

Oooh yes. Bravissimo tankini for me. I am tall (5.11) and well-endowed (G/H cup) and it is fabulous. Much prefer the tankini to a proper cossie, if only for, um, ease of access in the loo.

mommajools · 21/05/2007 00:19

TKmax are good for cossies - got a lovely one that is tuorqiouse with a steatchy bit across the middle and diamantees on the side and support for under a tenner

Countingthegreyhairs · 20/06/2007 08:38

I'm in the same position as you IntergalacticW (or rather my norks are ) and I like Lands End tugless range. They are very supportive and you can buy them in long or extra long.
