Whether I shave, wax or use cream I get ingrowing hairs.

Loads of them

All over my legs

They hurt

& as for my bikini line - such pain

How do I stop this?

Please help me - I avoid dehairing cos I can't cope with this pain

exfoliate exfoliate exfoliate

Body SHop does a fantastic dry body brush for about £7 - v.g. Also, try putting on a soluble aspirin mixed with a little water - aspirin is salicylic acid which is what you'll find in all of the 'in growing hair' products.

There are ingrowing hair products?

So can I sit in a bath on asprin?

How many do I use?

I am quite goos at exfoliating - must try harder

Yep - I think nads do one (available in Boots). Fairly sure that Bliss Labs do one too, but that is ££££££.

in growing hair stuff

I obviously live in a bubble (a slightly hairy bubble naturally )

OK - have tried to google the soluble aspirin thing, and can't find a thing, so maybe that's an old wives tale ....Tend skin is also supposed to be good.

I've just bought a body scrub thing from avon hoping it will do the trick.
I get those horrid little lumpy things on the back of my legs.

Katymac · 20/05/2007 17:38

God knows how people shave/wax it all

The itching, the pain & all I do is the bits that are outside my swimsuit

What are ingrowing hairs? I mean daft question obviously but what do they look like? How do you know what they are?
And would exfioliation work as a prevention or cure, sounds painful as a cure? I'm genuinely baffled, as far as I know I've never had one.

Katymac · 20/05/2007 19:02

The end of the hair instead of growing outwards, kinda gets caught under a bit of skin and starts growing

They can get infected

If you rub hard enough witha roungh sponge they come to the surface (if that makes sense?0

But what does it look like? Is it like a spot or can you actually see the loop? Are they red and angry or do you know you have one before it hurts?
Sorry I've interrogated people about wasp stings in a similar way before, I've never had one of those either! Find it fascinating in a primate grooming way.

Katymac · 20/05/2007 21:01

It looks like a splinter
It's red & a bit raised
