Tear trough filler

Hi there, I’m booked to have this done at TM’s clinic on Devonshire Place. Anyone had it done any advice? Pain bruising? Have had cheek and mouth line fillers, v subtle!

Watching with interest, I'd really like it done but am worried about the bruising.

No me but my friend. I've been for a consultation but I chickened out as I had a function the next day and possible swelling/bruising may have still been around.

The one thing I would make sure if is that they use a canula, not a syringe. It's much more kind and less likely to bruise/swell.

DFriend had no bruising/swelling but obviously everyone is different. It looks amazing though and I'll be getting mine done once I have a spare few days of doing nothing (just in case)

Ooh I’ve had this! It’s amazing.
Had a tiny bruise on one side which I covered with makeup. It’s not painful at all and so worth it.
Enjoy the compliments about you looking rested, well etc without anyone realising what you’ve had done!

Whenisitbedtime · 31/05/2018 10:03

I also went to TM.

sayatidaknama · 31/05/2018 10:04

I had it done and had one black eye for about 10 days. Not painful but I haven't had it done again as I don't think it made much difference to me.

I'd love this but can't afford it - wondered if it was any or not. I have always had really noticeable tear troughs, even on photos of me as a toddler!

Roomba · 31/05/2018 10:09

wondered if it was any good or not (need more coffee)

Katisha · 31/05/2018 10:14

What sort of price is it? Does it help with really noticeable bags under eyes?

Aridane · 31/05/2018 10:20

I had it done - it helped fill in the hollows. No bruising. Unlike other fillers, effects are not immediate.

Aridane · 31/05/2018 10:23

I've copied and pasted below a post I did on my experience with tear trough fillers:

"Had tear trough fillers yesterday.

A numbing cream was put on beforehand. Right eye done first - surprisingly painless, apparently fewer nerve endings there.

It’s not done in the actual under eye area but around the orbital (?) bone. She examined the area first and drew on it for where to inject.

For the left eye, the bit nearer my nose was painful. So she used a canula instead in the upper cheek area to insert the filler. No pain then.

I kept very still as I was mildly paranoid about being jabbed in my eyes.

Apparently tear trough fillers aren’t like ‘regular’ fillers with an immediate effect - instead little drops are inserted which over the next couple of weeks will move to the hollows (fingers crossed). Though already they are somewhat less pronounced.

No bruising , swelling or discomfort.

Still thrilled with cheek fillers. Can’t stop looking at my cheekbones / profile and how less droopy I look!"

I'm booked in to have cheek fillers next week- can't wait! How many ml did you have in each cheek?

hackneyhousewife · 31/05/2018 12:20

Thanks @whenisitbedtime, did you have TM herself? I have another one of her Dr's, and was it done with a cannula?

OP posts:
Aridane · 31/05/2018 13:40

I think it was 1ml in each cheek.

Whenisitbedtime · 31/05/2018 13:42

No it wasn’t TM herself that did the procedure it was one of the nurses and I don’t think it was a canula but can’t remember. I had the numbing cream. I’ve been very impressed with it- I’m sure you will be too.

Whenisitbedtime · 07/06/2018 19:20

@hackneyhousewife

How did it go OP? Are you pleased?

hackneyhousewife · 07/06/2018 20:20

It went well, she thinks I need 2 treatments but the first one has made an improvement, the hollows are definitely less hollow! I was convinced to consider Botox next time for my forehead line, anyone had that? It’s all so expensive once you start!

OP posts:
Whenisitbedtime · 07/06/2018 20:39

Oh good I’m glad you had a good experience. I had a tiny bit of Botox for my elevens and was pleased with that.
But yes, it is expensive and I can’t afford any more.

AppleBlossomTimeNow · 07/06/2018 20:46

Soz, who is TM?!

hackneyhousewife · 08/06/2018 07:30

Tracy Mountford, it’s the cosmetic skin clinic. I’m going to have a little bit of Botox, because I can’t stop looking at the line between my eyebrows! Just worried I’ll look surprised!!
