Which is your go-to gradual tan cream?

Which gradual tanner do you really rate? In the past I've used dove but it seemed to feel sticky for ages after i applied it.

I am pretty rubbish at applying. I'm looking for one which is as easy as applying moisturiser after the shower...not too much faffing iyswim

Thanks

I use the Dove one, it smells ok and isn’t orange, I always use the dark ones.

trickydickie · 28/05/2018 19:23

Yes I would love some recommendations too.

I use St Tropez gradual everyday lotion (light-medium) It dries quite quickly and the colour is gorgeous and natural looking. Lasts a long time too. It can smell a bit but I think that's hard to avoid with any tanning lotion - unless anyone knows one that doesn't smell?

WindyWednesday · 28/05/2018 19:28

The smell is the chemical that makes the colour.

It works by staining the bacteria on your skin, bit gross. It that’s how it works.

wrapsuperstar · 28/05/2018 19:29

I used to always go for St Tropez but I’ve recently tried the Isle of Paradise gradual tan and it’s brilliant. Easy to apply and great colour.

Madonnasmum · 28/05/2018 19:35

Tan luxe. Not so gradual as a great colour after two applications.

I use the Garnier one and am developing a lovely colour. Easy to use and non-greasy.

The Garnier one just dyed my moles darker and gave me that "strawberry pit" look.

I use the dark Dove and have no problems with it.

Bondi Sands. I used to think St Tropez was good until I tried this. It's bloody awesome.

makeupmaven · 28/05/2018 20:25

Seconding Bondi Sands (Gradual Tanning Milk). A little more expensive, but worth it.

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 28/05/2018 20:28

I find Garnier Summer Body in "light sun kissed glow" (bleeugh) pretty good for taking the corpse look off my legs. It doesn't give me a tan as such, because I only use it every couple of days.

I just slap it on then wipe a damp flannel lightly over my knees and heels.

mookinsx · 28/05/2018 20:33

Irish heritage has left me with very pale skin and I take a while to tan. I use the palmers gradual moisturiser. Only issues are human error. I can even put it on my face and not fear looking orange - need to top up every couple of days so it's never an issue if I've applied it badly whoops!!

However have beeen advised to try st Moritz??

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/05/2018 20:36

St Tropez gradual = pretty good. It doesn't smell.

PoohBearsHole · 28/05/2018 20:38

Tan luxe butter - brilliant

Put off St Tropez by friend who chooses wrong colour (too dark), applies badly and doesn’t wash their hands afterwards. Frankly put me off 🙂

Tan luxe feels like moisturiser, looks natural and doesn’t smell horrid :)

Rafflesway · 28/05/2018 21:03

Palmers cocoa butter bronze gradual tan - absolutely brilliant!

I have typical white, Irish skin and this tans me beautifully, never streaks and doesn't have that vile biscuity smell.

mamamagellanic · 28/05/2018 21:05

Decleor aroma confort

Smells lovely, colour is amazing, fades evenly. It's the best gradual I've ever used, I always go back to it. Worth every penny.

Mrspimplepopper · 28/05/2018 21:17

Oooo i think im gonna try Bondi sands. Just off to look on amazon
