Any ideas? I have a huge bunion on one food and really painful feet underneath. Is there such a thing.

I love my Birkenstocks and I have bunions. Not absolutely horrendous, but bad enough to make shoe fitting difficult - sandals even more so as I need the strap(s) in the right place or else they rub or just look awful.

The Birks also have the advantage of adjustable straps. And have a reasonably supportive footbed.

toe post Birkenstocks got me through many years of bunions

Mephisto. Or Birkenstock Florida's, with three straps.

Fitflops are kind to bunions & more padded than Birkies, especially with the underfoot pain you describe.

If you have pain on the underside of your foot, near your second or third toes then you may have a Morton’s Neuroma forming. As it grows, the pain gets worse. (I speak from bitter experience) Surgery will get rid of the neuroma and the bunion - if you haven’t already seen a GP then it’s worth being seen & referred to an orthopaedic surgeon. Sorry for lecture Blush but I wish I’d seen a doctor years ago.

I had two Morton's neuromas on the foot that had had the bunion surgery. Different footwear works for different people - i can't do Fitflops. Shoes remain a huge problem.
