I have no style!

I don't know, maybe it's me but I was having a wander round the shops this morning and went into shops like Topshop and River Island and just thought, 'do people actually wear some of this stuff?' I think I must be so boring. I'm 35 with DS who is 1 and I live in stretchy jeans and tops. My friend who has a DS same age, seems to have nailed 'boho chic.' She Just always looks fab and I feel I look old and mumsy! But if I did buy something a bit 'different' I'd probably be too scared to wear it in case people thought I looked stupid or in case I just felt really uncomfortable. Does anyone else feel like this? Is it too late for me??

Well I'm with you on the "do people wear this stuff!?" - any high street shop will have loads of horrible things. You don't have to wear all that stuff to have more of a style. And it's fine if the style you really like best is jeans and tops. But if you want to try other things, start with things you're drawn to and feel are "you".

It is hard to move out of your comfort zone - that applies whatever your comfort zone is. (I like brights and prints, but I'd feel weird in a white shirt for example.) . So I'd start gradually - eg look at different trouser options/shapes, maybe skirts, and see if there are any you like the look of. Send off for a few things, wear around the house, send back if they don't feel right.

What do you like/see yourself in? What kinds of colours, minimalist chic look, or prints? Is there a celeb style you like?

I'd like to wear bolder prints and some summery dresses. I'm pale skinned so milkbottle legs though! I'm not keen on my shape and since having c section it's made if worse. I like Emma Willis. She seems to make even boring clothes look really good!

Sounds lovely! I'm pale but still wear bright print dresses - I think that's fine. There are loads of nice print tops and dresses around - Urban outfitters, Uniqlo, gap and Hush have them, as well as topshop etc. Or go on ebay and do a search for print dresses in the colours / materials and styles you fancy and see what comes up. You might get some bargains, or see what brands grab you and then look at their shops?
