SPORTS BRAS - for large norks...anyone found one that really works?

At the moment I am deploying the two bra method which is not only ridiculous but very uncomfortable. I'm a 32FF so key factor is support, don't give a flying fig what it looks like, no-one is going to see it. I'm also planning to get a vest top with 'built in support' to help...any recommendations for that too would be great. THANKS!

I am a 34G and know this problem all too well I spent weeks and weeks looking for a sports bra before a charity football tournament arranged through work. I have to say the one i ended up with wasnt brilliant but was probably the best of a bad bunch - it was one of those Anna Kournikova only the balls should bounce bras!! Im still convinced that the makers of sports bras are all 32AAA as none of them seem to give the support they advertise

Bravissimo do these two styles.
I'd personally recommend the 'Royce' as it is exceptionally comfy and supportive

Thanks, I'm going to get the royce one!

I ran a couple of miles earlier today in a 36D Shock Absorber and it felt fine.

beckybrastraps · 18/05/2007 17:59

I have a shock absorber which I wear underneath a 'built in support' top. It's not too bad, but not perfect.

I would say there is quite a differecne between a D and an FF though your Grace!

CODalmighty · 18/05/2007 18:00

yes royce good

DO NOT egtt he other oen as it makes you b look liek maddona in her cone bra stage
finbar pisssed heself when she saw me in it

CODalmighty · 18/05/2007 18:00

eys shocks absopber max stranght is crap

CODalmighty · 18/05/2007 18:00

oh the royce one order a cup larger as its cut away at the side

slayerette · 18/05/2007 18:16

I have the royce one; cod is right - it does need to be a cup size larger and you have to do it up as tightly as you can bear for minimum bounce. Think doing up a corset when you strap yourself into it and you'll be all right! It's surviving my Davina dvds ok.

beckybrastraps · 18/05/2007 18:31

I wore a Royce feeding bra first time around. It was rubbish - no support ^whatsoever*. I've rather avoided the name since that.

Still, I may give it a go...

CODalmighty · 18/05/2007 18:35

slayer and the fish agree

mrsdarcy · 18/05/2007 18:39

Is this website any good? The bras look pretty serious to me!

MissTea4Me · 18/05/2007 18:43

I can totally attest to the cone-boob effect of the Berlei one. I thought it was sort of cool though...

CODalmighty · 18/05/2007 18:44

its freaky isnt it

MissTea4Me · 18/05/2007 18:59

Yeah, sort of like having missiles projecting from your chest. Which, I feel, is a motivational mindset for exercise.

DANCESwithnewlytannedlegs · 18/05/2007 19:47

I've ordered from figleaves because there was a swimsuit I wanted to try too and they advised about the cup size so I've gone for the 32G and this bra even though the model's make up makes her look like a junkie.

ive found that as long as the bra fits well, a sports bra isnt really necessary. of course i dont do running/jogging etc. just the usual machines in the gym, but i am currently down to a 32E. and thats what works for me.
