Tell me about your skincare regime

I'm mid 30s and have some fairly noticeable sun damage/pigmentation as well as the very beginnings of some fine lines.

I've vowed to wear an SPF every day from now on. My skin care regime has always been ok - C/T/M twice a day etc etc also use a low strength retinol most nights when I remember. But I'm thinking I need to start taking skin care more seriously now as I'm not far off 34

What products do you use? What's the best product you've used that's given the best results?

I'm quite like you in respect to the pigmentation and sun damage, it just seemed to happen overnight!

I use elemis and Charlotte tilbury products because that's what I find works best on my skin but you should use what works for you. You've said you already C,T,M regularly what products are available in that range?

The best thing I did though was starting microdermabrasion facials. That really got rid of a lot of pigmentation and boosted my skin brilliantly. I also felt that the products were given a better chance to work.

Morning- quick rinse with water then apply Avene Cleanance spf 30 (but not in the winter). It's matte, doesn't make me white and doesn't give me spots so for me it's worth the high cost. (If I'm outside all day doing sporty things/beach I'll use a generic spf 50 for higher protection and I don't care about looking a bit greasy in those circumstances)

Evening - Wash face with a mild unsented SLS free cleanser. Currently using Simple vital vitamin foaming wash and it seems pretty good so I will probably repurchase.
Moisturise with La Roche Posay Effeclar H. Again, it's expensive but worth it to me. Superdrug's hydrating serum is similar (but not quite as good) and super cheap.

When my skin is particularly "bleh" I exfoliate with Nip and Fab Glycolic scrub which someone gave me. Seems pretty good.

I'm in my twenties and have combination skin, but luckily I managed to avoid serious acne. Over the last few months my skin has seemed to settle down a lot and be less greasy, not sure if that's the routine or that I'm finally leaving the dregs of my adolescence behind!

I've just started using nip n fab glycolic toner. It was recommended to me on here. It's the single best thing I've ever used on my skin. I've had lots of people tell me I look glowy and my skin looks much better.

Thanks all

I keep seeing people recommend nip and fab - I will try it!

I find hot cloth cleansers work best for me. I had monthly microdermabrasion in the run up to my wedding and it was great. Maybe I will start those up again!
