Jeans for tiny tiny women?? - 24" waist 32" leg

My friend struggles to put on weight. She is not anorexic but is very very VERY small - and 5'8" tall. She just wants jeans - flared if possible! Size 4 UK is too big for her but I just cant track down anything smaller. Anyone on her got any leads?

Topshop tall. ASOS tall. Being slim doesn’t imply a serious mental illness. I wouldn’t presume a slim person was anorexic.

Top shop usually very good for small sizes, they do lots of different styles as well.

Levi’s do jeans in waist and leg measurements. Waist start at 23 inches. Leg lengths 28, 30 & 32. There are loads of colours and styles. The 501 skinny comes on about 8 or 9 colours and she can get a 24/32.

dont know why i emphasised slim really, but people often assume she is ill. Just thought I'd knock that on the head.

Thanks for the links - but these waist 24/size 4's are too big. We need a UK2. Are they even made?

Uniqlo do 23 and 24 waist in 32 and 34 length. Various shapes (though I didn't spot flares)

Levis size23, are really more like a 24, and I need to belt them. Allsaints 24 sometimes come up a bit smaller. Topshop 24 are close to a 25. Does your friend have narrow hips or a pear shape? She could go to Selfridges where they will have a very wide selection of jeans, in all sizes that she could try on. Sometimes different styles and even colours in the same style can fit differently.

24/32 is the size I buy, but wearing a belt has solved a lot of size issues for me. And trying on, always try on.

If she’s a 24” waist that is odd that they are too big ? That was my size pre babies ( I had a 23” waist, I can hardly believe it now ) and I bought French jeans, over ten years ago though ! Dd is five foot five with a 22 inch waist ( she’s 13 ) and the gap size 2 fits her, a little bit big on the waist but not a problem.

Another option is to have jeans alerted for a better fit.

So - since this started ive had the chance to to chat to my friend. She has come to understand that the waist size she has been quoting is very old news. She is probably a waist 22" or less these days. She is in her 50s. She also prefers styles which are not considered super cool these days - althogyh flares are creeping back in arent they! She is not one to have things altered. Her weight is a sore enough spot already without having to be pinned etc. She is also on a very tiny budget. Its very very hard!

A 22 waist is very tricky to fit, but the gap size 2 (That is the UK 2, not the US one ) might fit her and they do give discount codes pretty frequently if you shop online. I bought dd some little crop trousers the other day and had 40% off.
If she is more like a 21 then she might need to belt things if she can’t do alterations. The other option is trawling eBay for things.
