Could I ask people for some suggestions please?

DD gets married this summer at a Mediterranean villa, outside, no aircon. It will be very hot. plus I am fat (size 22-24) and menopausal so any outfit must be cool but without revealing acres of flab. Although I am large I don't suit things that are too voluminous and am better with a bit of shape.

I had an idea of a beautiful floaty maxi dress but am struggling to find anything that is not too bold in colour or pattern as the rest of the bridal party are in muted colours and I don't want to stand out.
My other idea was a dress with a floaty, sheer coat, jacket or wrap over it but I just can't find anything
I think I've exhausted the high street shops and catalogue shops like Marisota and JD Williams. Can anyone suggest any outfits or anywhere else to look please?

Ok can't get links to work. Basically Debut at Debenhams. Do you think you could rock a long prom length? These two are really pretty:

Have a look on asos curve. Loads of maxi dresses and floaty mid length dresses up to a size 28-30.

Have a look on eBay for Nitya. Beautiful floaty clothes they used to have a shop at Bicester village I have no idea if they’re still going but it’s lovely classy clothing.

Thank you all so much
A lot of these dresses, like the Elvi and the prom dresses, are beautiful but I think they look too young for me and, as I'm not normally a dress person, I think I'd feel self-conscious.

book I love that Studio 8 dress but I'm trying to avoid black, even if it has pattern added. I have ordered one though that I think may be the same design but in cobalt blue and black. I have tried Curvissa but thank you anyway
Lady again thank you. I've tried a few Little Mistress dresses but not that one as I am generally not a pink person but I will try it if the next lot to arrive are no good

I have ordered 16 dresses from various sites now (having already tried 15 and returned 13 but knowing that the 2 I've kept are only maybes!)

Boden go up to a 22. How about this Maxi dress with a cool wrap? m.boden.co.uk/en-gb/womens-dresses/day-dresses/j0110-mbl/womens-riviera-blue-floral-bouquet-diana-jersey-maxi-dress

This? Or anything else on that website?

Try Holy Clothing. A lot of their stuff is a bit Renaissance, but some of the dresses, such as Ena and Catriona, are lovely and come in a variety of colours. They are also very cool to wear so will be good in hot weather.

Kaftan dresses.

Cupro so lovely and cool and you could wear pastel belt/sandals www.marisota.co.uk/shop/concept-convertible-cupro-maxi-shirt-dress/gt450/product/details/show.action?pdBoUid=7203#colour:Dove%20Grey,size:22

What about something like this? It has skinny straps but has the built in cover up bit.

Thank you all so much, there's some great ideas here and some I haven't heard of before so that's great. Not all of them will work as I don't suit loose clothes and look better in something with a bit of shape, also I look like death warmed up in pastels so have to rule out a lot of the pale colours

My first 2 parcels have arrived so off for another try on

Thank you again for all your help. I've realised from looking at all your suggestions that I've been focusing too much on "must-haves", must be a maxi, must not be too bright, must not be too patterned, etc. I'm just going to forget all those stipulations and look for something I like now as I'll look best in something I feel good in
