Balayage - hairdresser has ruined my hair - breaking off

Had it done yesterday-hair is now breaking and fragile, plus large areas that have been dyed are 'orange'. I've just messaged the salon and told them that I want someone (else) to look at it urgently (although I don't thinkt here is anything the can do). Anyone else had a similar experience? Any advise (or products that may help?)

Did they use Olaplex? You need to get them to do that urgently to rebuild the bonds in the hair and definitely not put anymore bleach on it!

Yes, this happened to me in February. I'd had really good highlights for years at the same salon, grown everything out over a year and then went back for Balayage. Was just as you describe. Completely ruined my hair, brassy and cheap looking, I could have done a better job with a home colour. I went back two days later and had a load of highlights put in to tone it down but tbh it's still brassy though not as bad but I can't bear to go back and never will. They asked me what I had put on it to make it go like that. I was furious. I had paid £150 to have my hair totally wrecked and then be accused to doing it myself. This was the Salon Manager btw of a Toni and Guy salon. I've since put semi permanent home colours on myself to keep it toned down and need to find a new hairdresser I suppose.

They'll correct it for you, if they're any good and if they don't tell them you'll contact their head office, if they've got one that is.

Thanks Both- they only charged me £55 as they think they were so embarrassed. The colour can be corrected-that's not a problem, it's the breaking that is worrying - and my hair is thick and tough - not at all 'delicate'. They also suggested in the salon that I had 'put something on' my hair that had made it react this way. She took an hour to put the foils on so one side was left 'bleaching' much longer than the other side (she said she only left the bleach on for 20 mins!). She only checked the foils once - right before she removed them ! I rely on stying my hair with straighteners and curling tongs- now I'm afraid to even blow dry it...it's a petty thing in the whole scheme of life, but it's making me very low.
