She said as long as its not my tie dye dungarees she doesn’t care.

I have no idea.

Plainish medium formal dress? If you normally tend to the boho, you could get away with something simple and scoop necked?

I do tend to the boho Grin or just scruffy. I live in jeans when my dungarees are in the wash.

That first one is nice.

There may well be a dress code. Parents/guests at my graduation last year were advised to dress as though they were going to a wedding. That first dress looks more formal than the navy one.
If there isn’t a specific dress code, I’d still probably err on the side of smart casual.

I would say smart casual although I work in a university and people wear whatever they feel comfortable in. It is definately not wedding dress code.

Hmm, maybe my university was oddly posh then... HmmConfused

at my son's graduation there was a real mix. some people looked like they had just been clubbing (short skirts/high heels) and i'm talking about the mothers here and not in an especially good way. others looked as if they were going to a wedding, some had casual trousers. i had a nice dress and cashmere cardi and felt comfortable and middle of the road.

there was a lot of walking and standing up, so wear comfy shoes or take a bag with some spare ones in
