Skinny jeans without lycra/stretch?

Apparently I'm looking for the impossible! Has anyone seen any skinny jeans without lycra/stretch?

I'm fed up of my skinnies stretching at the knees the moment I get down to do a nappy change and then looking too big for the rest of the day because they're baggy.

So the hunt is on for high waisted skinny jeans with no stretch. Help please!

I has some from gap a few years ago, they were so uncomfortable!

In the end I just perfected the art of getting up and down off the floor without bagging the knees of my jeans out! Some makes are better than others at keeping thier shape, my Karen Millen jeans were all really thick and looked better longer, next not so much.

Try Levi?

I think it's the lycra that makes skinnies possible. I wore tight jeans in the 80s pre lycra. It was a work out just putting them on, I had to lie on the bed and wriggle into them. Then wait for the denim to relax

You need skinnies with more stretch, not less. Cotton jeans stretch out, it's the lycra that makes it ping back and stop bagging. My jeans from ASOS and M&S (the M&S ones are described as jeggings but they have a proper waist/pockets) are the best for not going baggy.

I think a little bit of stretch is good but the problems began when they upped the lycra content to compensate for cheaper, thinner cotton. From what I've seen, pretty much all the high street brands do this now. You could try second hand/charity shops for skinnies of around ten years ago: just a smidgeon of lyrca and narrow in the leg but not skin tight. A lot of them were also absurdly low waisted so you'd need to rummage.

I have these www.pocobypippa.com/products/the-tummy-tuck-light-blue they don't seem to have any stretch

I don't think you would be able to sit or bend down in them. Maybe you need jeans with more lycra so the knees and stretch and then return to their original shape. I've had good luck with Zara skinnies.

My Jane Norman high waisted skinnies don’t stretch at all.

I find jeans with a percentage of polyester along with cotton and Lycra keep their shape the best. Jeans that are 98% cotton and 2% Lycra go baggy super fast on me. Gap sculpt are my favourite jeans. No baggy knees!

You probably need to buy better quality ones I'm afraid, I've Tommy Hilfiger, they have stretch but never go out of shape, they stretch with you and stretch back.

Skinnies with no stretch would be very uncomfortable, bending, sitting, kneeling etc, Because you're either going to have to have them loose enough to do those things, so by definition no longer skinnies, or struggle in denim with no stretch.

It's the stretch that allows them to be skinnies.

Yep, better quality denim still with some lycra content is what you need. Try Levi's/Wrangler/Lee.

God I hate 100% cotton jeans, so restrictive, and rough. I have just discovered True Religion curvy range and they are the best jeans ever. Material so soft comfortable and stretchy.

Aeroflotgirl · 18/05/2018 18:42

Since I discovered True Religion, even though pricey, it is head and shoulders above the the cheaper ones, the quality of the fabric is just so lovely.
