2 year old's crazy curls

DD has masses of blonde curls which sometimes go to lovely ringlets and sometimes to messy frizz. She hates having it tied back but doesn't tantrum, just looks really sad which is awful because she's usually so jolly.

We have a wedding coming up and we would really like her to have nice curls rather than frizzy mess. Could anyone suggest toddler friendly products or other things we could do to make it look nice?

TIA for any helpful suggestions!

My daughter is also 2 and has a mass of tight ringlets. I keep them nice by only washing with conditioner (no shampoo), letting her hair dry naturally. In the morning I wet it slightly, comb with my fingers (and tangle teaser for any knotted bits) then either leave as it is or rub a small amount of leave in conditioner through it.

When my dd wakes up with the frizz I literally spray with water and it let it dry naturally

Tho sadly her hair is so long now it's loosing its ringlets and I'm having to blow dry in bunches now ... I want to cry!

I use an oil thing to defuzz. It isn’t an expensive one but helps with the curls

Try OGX coconut water spray, from Boots (and other places, I'm sure).

For everyday, when she wakes up, I'd mix a spray conditioner (e.g. the Aussie leave in one) with water in a spray bottle and apply a few squirts to the lengths of the hair before very gently detangling with a wide tooth comb.

Can you plait her hair before bed? That could reduce the tangles.
