Patchy fake tan

I am very pale so I use a gradual tanner through the summer
Dove or similar
They go patchy though and create big freckle type spots
I splashed out on skinny tan. Exfoliated well before using and it has made no difference
Excuse the not so pretty leg

Patchy fake tan

Seborrheic keratosis? It's small brown scaly bumps from sun damage (some are so small and light you can barely see them) and they grab the tan. Something on your skin is grabbing the colour.

They are quite shiny but I have never spent a lot of time in the sun. I burn too easily
Can I do anything about them

They can be frozen off but you'd have to ask a dermatologist what's going on first, to make sure that's what they are. I never spent much time in the sun either (like you I'm pale and I burn) but I do have some on my legs. They're virtually invisible until I put fake tan on.

Hi. I'm the same. Best results I get is using a body lotion with alpha hydroxy acids in it to exfoliate in a chemical way. Especially lactic acid. Use for a week before using the tanner, every day and night (you'll need sunblock outside because AHA's will cause more sun sensitivity.) I don't know what's in the UK anymore because I moved away but in the USA some brand names are Eucerin and Amlactin (I prefer the second. Although it smells of wee due to the ammonium lactate) :)
Also exfoliating well with a sugar or salt scrub rather than a glove or whatever.
