I recently watched the bbc programme about orangutans and the destruction that the palm oil industry does. This has galvanised me into action after decades of sometimes thoughtful sometimes less so consumption. My plan is to use up everything I already own, recycle and reuse more carefully and replace products only as I need to with a streamlined collection of really necessary things from food to cosmetics to clothes.
If anyone has recommendations of ethical, environmentally friendly products that work well, I’d be grateful to hear them.
I already use plain oil to clean my face and moisturise body, bar soap for shower and don’t really buy processed food. I have enough nail polish to last about 30 years as I can hardly ever be arsed, but I’d like to know which shampoo bar will work best on my fine, chin length hair. I don’t use much in the way of cleaning products, but I’d be keen to hear about eco laundry stuff. Cheers m’dears!
