How to make my boobs less sagy

Racecardriver · 10/05/2018 20:42

So I have breastfeed two children for about three and a half years total. My breasts are finally dry posy weaning but they do look a little sad. They are still fairly large (E cup, DD prior to pi tegnacy, F at their largest). Will they recover? I am 22 so I know there is still lots of time but I'm thinking not. It makes me quite uncomfortable (can't go braless and have to adjust them throughout the day) and they also make me quite sad (I miss my lovely firm body, everything is saggy and attach marked now). It 's not c like it has a massive effect on my life but I miss the feeling of having a young body. I feel old and used up. Has anyone had their beats return to normal or is this it? Will I have these horrible saggy things for the rest of my life?

L lease excuse all the errors, my phone doesn't like me very much.

I have 3DC, am old enough to be your mother weeps , and BF for almost 9 years in total. It's about 18 months since I finally stopped BFing and was discussing my breasts with DH (as you do!) and I don't think pregnancy and BFing have had any effect on my breasts. I might just have been lucky of course or deluded. It might be that you've seen more of a change because you were so young when you were first pregnant whereas mine were well aged before they went through pregnancy and BFing.

Anyway, practical advice. Get thee to a good bra shop and get properly fitted and get some bras that fit and suit your shape now. You can recreate that upper breast fullness with the right bra.

You really, really need to get yourself to a Bravissimo and get some nice new underwear asap. Will make you feel ten million times better about yourself. They do lingerie for young women, not just the frumpy designs that shops used to sell in larger cup sizes, and the right style will make your breasts pert and full again. Half-cup styles are fab for this.

BusterGonad · 10/05/2018 22:40

Yep, get measured and wear tops that suit fuller breasts, lower neckline will make you look less matronly, I love a good wrap top, gives me a waist and shows off my boobs. Win win.

Oh dear, that 's a bit depressing. Made even worse by the fact that all of the really pretty bad stop at DD. Oh well, bravissimo is it then.

Exercise and a good bra. Chest presses and flyes will build muscles in your chest which will help, and a well-fitted bra is a must.

They really don't, don't worry! Maybe they did fifteen years ago, but not now. The only brand I'm personally not so keen on and think is usually frumpy is Freya. Bravissimo own brand, Curvy Kate, Cleo by Panache, Masquerade, Kris Line, all do some stunningly pretty things alongside the plainer T-shirt bras. Once you know more about your size (all brands and styles fit differently, obvs) you can check out outlet sites for past season bras and have even more choice. The only annoying thing is that the knickers tend to be quite expensive, if you prefer matching sets.

@Mike thank you! We definitely give the exercises a try.

@TheHonGalad I'm really lucky about underwear, it is my happy thing (like how some people buy hand cream or scented candles for me it is underwear). I used to exclusively buy Cloe and Lola but I haven't found anything that makes me happy since I moved up to an E cup. I have tried finding something else that makes me happy in the same way but have failed. I miss the feeling of opening a draw full of beautiful lacey floral pastel toned stuff.

How much weight have you gained overall? It could be something easily fixed by a healthy diet and exercise with some component of weight training at your age.

MikeUniformMike · 11/05/2018 13:20

Thanks. Good posture helps too.

Racecardriver · 11/05/2018 14:59

I weigh same as I did or baby but I have fluctuated about 15 kg. I might try to loose some more weight (in the middle of healthy bmi so could safely drop a dress size. Do you think that would make my breasts shrink back to normal?) posture is good, thankfully no back problems resulting from my udders.

If you are a healthy weight your boobs won't be that large, what's your back size? An E cup on a 30 back (e.g. if you're a size 10) is really not big.

AnaViaSalamanca · 11/05/2018 18:03

someone told me eating soybeans and flax seed can help fill your boobs up after BF. I haven't tried though.

SpanielsAreNuts · 11/05/2018 18:31

Get to bravissimo and I promise your boobs can look good again.

Bravissimo fit their bras correctly and the women are very good at knowing what shape/type of bra will suit your breasts now. It may be something as simple as a different type of cup or a slightly better fit, will make them look right again.

I have to have a moulded full cup post DC otherwise my breasts look weirdly shaped and saggy. I hadn't realised that changing from the cup style I wore pre-DC to a moulded full cup could make such a gigantic change to how my breasts looked.

Also bravissimo's fitting is amazing - I often forget I've still got my bra on and it's underwired!

troodiedoo · 11/05/2018 18:34

Clarins bust firming gel is good. Pricey, but a little goes a long way.

Racecardriver · 11/05/2018 18:37

@count they aren't huge but they are just a little bit too big. DD looked sexy yet chic and youthful. Now I look matronly. It is more the way they hang that bothers me than the size. They were an E cup when I first got pregnant and looked fine. Big but fine. Now they hang and do this weird thing where they slip off the sides of my body when I lie braless on my back. Nipples have also changed but I don't mind that. I think the problem might be that there is too much skin.

Racecardriver · 11/05/2018 18:37

Just to clarify they look fine in a bra.

They will recover. You will also need to find a new 'happy weight' once you've finished, at least I did. Mine look better when I have a bit of weight on!

tierraJ · 11/05/2018 19:42

The right bra & exercise.

My mum found hers went back to normal with lots of breaststroke.
I'm trying the chest press at the gym.
