Has anyone tried a 3barrel waver?

I want easy beachy waves & I've got it in my head this might be the answer but I'm worried I might look a bit, you know, crimped.
I can't curl with ghd & I'm a bit rubbish with tongs/wand, anyone tried one?

I bought the Toni & Guy deep waver after my hairdresser tried it out on me after a hair cut. She made it look amazing. Unfortunately I found it really heavy and unwieldy to use. I could probably style someone else's hair with it, but not my own.

Interested in other recommendations as I do like the effect...

Oh and I find a wand, without a clip much easier to use - an oval shaped barrel gives a lovely beach wave effect. Have you tried watching a YouTube tutorial to help with the technique?

I’m interested in the answer to this because I want “Hollywood hair” for a party but my hair is very fine and poker straight - curls just fall out of it. Would a wand work?

My hairdresser uses an L shaped curling wand, it holds the curl really well and looks easy to use but haven’t tried it myself (think they cost about £100)
I bought the Toni and guy waver and yes it looks crimped- I use it on my DD now when she wants to look like a mermaid
