What can I do to improve my décolletage? (With photo)

I'm starting to get some deep lines around my décolletage. It seems they've sprung up suddenly from nowhere!

I'm mid-30's and have been looking at my similarly aged friends and they don't have this issue (or do anything to prevent it!). I think it must be genetic.

Is there anything I can do to improve it?

I've been religiously using a good factor 50 suncream for years, so can tick that box.

I've had fine lines around my eyes but have been using a combination of The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid and Clinique Moisture Surge 2x daily and had excellent results. Tried it on my décolletage- nothing.

Am currently pg and planning to breastfeed so retinoids are out currently.

Moisturise and use sunscreen all around the areas exposed to the sun.

Thanks - as I said, I've been doing that for years. Am looking to see if there's anything I can do in addition.

I'm exactly the same but not sure there is anything to be done other than hardcore laser peel.

I think I might go for that after the summer.

I don't want to be rude but isn't it where you sleep and as you have some weight there it leaves lines where it sort of squashes up ( prob due to pregnancy) .. but yes to suncream and keep it out of the sun .

MyNameIsTotoro · 03/05/2018 13:22

Pig not rude at all! Am absolutely carrying extra weight due to pg and am having to sleep on my side rather than back/front which I usually do. Maybe that's why they seem to have appeared out of nowhere!

Hopefully in that case they'll go, but yes, full on laser action may be the way forward if not!

I get this in the morning after sleeping on my side too.

WeShouldBeFriends · 03/05/2018 16:29

I was thinking weight from pregnancy too. I'm sure they'll disappear at some point x

Okaynowimconfused · 03/05/2018 16:34

No advice but I am 26 and have had these since I can remember - so probably from my teens - and it wasn't until recently that I've started carrying extra weight so I've no idea why I have them. And I have been moisturising my neck for a long time now.

You can actually buy a bra to sleep in to prevent this.

retainertrainer · 03/05/2018 18:41

😆

MyNameIsTotoro · 03/05/2018 18:55

retainer that is all sorts of wrong! Grin

I've been looking at firming creams, has anyone ever used one on that area with any success?

They’re sleep ceases - i’m guessing you sleep on your right. Sleeping on your back (not advised when pg) is the only answer

iMatter · 03/05/2018 19:03

Yes - sleeping on your right and pg are what's causing it.

It will get much better.
