Am struggling to get box dyes to cover grey, where would I buy this dye? Also what do I mix it with and finally I'm after a light to medium brown with no red in It, any colour suggestions?
Thank you mumsnetters!

Dont know if anyone has posted this link but it might help to explain the colours a bit. The top colour is the base / shade and the bottom one is the tone. I would ignore the names of the colours. They are not true to life. The best indication you can get of the true colour of the shade you like is googling the shade and reviews. Will hopefully bring up some youtube videos / blog posts about the colour you like with pics.

Dboo last question I promise! Is 7.7 the same as 7.07?
Thank you for your help

Thanks DBoo, can't give you a pic really cos I've been using 5.0 and it's too dark/flat

7.07 will only have a little bit of the .7 tone in it. I had a quick look and 7.77 might be a more suitable colour for you. That just means the tone is a bit more intense.

Carpe - if you have been using a 5 already the one you have ordered wont be any darker it will just have a different tone so if you look at my link you will be able to get an idea of what kind of tone.

Sorry carpe just to add as well there is no point getting a lighter one as that will only actually dye your roots. You could try a six but your roots will definitely be lighter than your ends. If it is too dark i would think about having a full head of highlights done professionally to break it up / lighten it then a toner all over to blend. Unfortunately it would probably be a decent one off cost but would be worth it in my opinion. If you prefer to colour at home you could ask for a root stretch and then top your roots up at home yourself which isnt too difficult.

Thanks again, much appreciated

And for that last post too, think I will get my hairdresser to put in some highlights

Very welcome. Highlights will be lovely for the summer.
