Afternoon all,

Is it possible to give yourself a good exfoliating facial at home? Any recommendations would be great please.

Thanks.

Ive been using the body shop vit c glow reveal liquid exfoliatior recently. I think its £18 but often on 3 for 2
Its very satisfying to use if you like seeing the layers of grime come off 😂😂😂
Ive also really liked the body shop vit e sleep mask which i got "free". I think both have made a big difference to my dry dehydrated skin

I've had a few expensive facials over the past couple of years and think they are a waste of money so started to do my own.

Double cleanse all makeup off.
Exfoliate
Steam (i bought a face steamer for this)
Remove blackheads and wash face again
Face mask, then thoroughly removed
Toner
Moisturise with eye cream.

Put on a hair mask (Philip Kingsley is very effective) at the same time for an hour, do a bit of hair removal and wash it all off in shower when you remove mask.

It's a lovely 60/90 mins of me time.

I like Dermalogica 7-day scrub or St. Ives Apricot Scrub which is a fraction of the price but not as harsh an exfoliator.

I've been following Lisa Eldridge's facial massagey thingy on Youtube which is also something that ££££s facialists will do to you.

As others have said, after a highly pressurised 4 months at work, with deadlines finally over, I'm enjoying the simplicity of rubbing oily goo on my face after cleansing and pampering myself.

I’m doing one right now!
So far I’ve cleansed, acid toner, clay face pack and now I have a yeast face pack on (smells gross, keeps my acne at bay). When this is done I’ll steam it off, have a shower and put deep conditioner on, do a serum sheet mask and have a lie down then moisturise and get read for work. I do it every week if I have time and it keeps my acne clear and skin really radiant.

Shock step away from St Ives apricot scrub as it literally rips your face to shreds.

I make up a mask from bentonite clay powder which I mix with water. Leave it on so it's dry but not so dry its cracking. Then follow with a serum and moisturiser/oil of choice.
