Help how to reduce bloating by tomorrow night?

whensitmyturn · 27/04/2018 12:51

Got a party tomorrow evening and got a dress delivered last week that I felt lovely in. Just tried it with the new shoes I'm wearing it with and my stomach is really bloated,
What can I eat/drink for the rest of today and tomorrow that could help reduce it?

I do have a pair of Spanx on standby but I'm so much comfier without them!

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

You could check out a diuretic, if it's water. If it's gas massage your stomach, you will burp like hell but that's the gas coming out

Try taking a bath in Epsom salts and avoid Caffeine . I found yakult good for bloating .

niceupthedance · 27/04/2018 12:58

No carbs

summerlovingliz · 27/04/2018 12:59

Yes was going to say no bread

princessbear80 · 27/04/2018 13:06

Definitely no carbs

joystir59 · 27/04/2018 13:09

Breadless from now on, and no food after lunchtime tomorrow and only eat light carb free tomorrow

Is AF due? Hated that when I had a big night out.

No carbs!!!! No doubt about it and absolutely no sweet things. I find I bloat when I eat too much sugar!

AfterSchoolWorry · 27/04/2018 13:15

Cut carbs.

halfwitpicker · 27/04/2018 13:15

I find drinking peppermint tea helps when I have a bloated stomach, you could try that and cutting carbs.

TroubledLichen · 27/04/2018 13:47

No carbs, sugar, alcohol, dairy or fizzy drinks. Not sure about the advice re cutting out caffeine as coffee is a diuretic so I would have thought that would help decrease the bloat.

specialsubject · 27/04/2018 13:50

peppermint tea and eat some veg. If you are getting regular bloating, see a doctor rather than taking blogger diet advice.

whensitmyturn · 27/04/2018 14:20

Thankyou!

Ok been drinking lots of water and I've just made some veg soup to take to work this evening too with some left for tomorrow lunch.

Work also have peppermint tea bags I'll try one of them later too (better with food? Or on its own anyone know?)

Any breakfast suggestions?

Here's hoping it works!

Omelette (egg whites only if you want to go all the way) and fruit for breakfast maybe?

TroubledLichen · 27/04/2018 14:57

And as for the peppermint, if you buy the capsules (I took them after my c-section), it’s 3 times a day an hour before meals. So maybe try the same with the tea?

AnaViaSalamanca · 27/04/2018 16:06

avoid salt and carbs.

I have heard eating salmon helps, but never tried it.

For me, eating tomatoes and blueberries after a weekend of indulgence helps, but mostly on the face.

Highhorse1981 · 27/04/2018 16:07

Do you exercise?

Go for a good run.
Do a body pump class
Or if you dont exercise a long strenuous walk
Soup and protein
No fruit or veg

EnidButton · 27/04/2018 16:13

Leafy veg rather than root veg. But that might just be me Blush

Warm water with lemon in it.
