Do you mean the shampoo or the oil? Ive not tried the shampoo but the oil doesn’t seem to do much for my hair. The problem is that it’s now quite grey, but coloured, and the texture of the grey is so wiry and frizzy. There must be something that grey haired women use to help with the texture? My hair used to be so silky Angry

Loraine Massey, who wrote Curly Girl has done a follow up book for looking after silver hair. I’ve not read it myself but if it’s as good as her curly one, it might give some good tips. www.amazon.co.uk/Silver-Hair-Lorraine-Massey/dp/0761189297/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&keywords=lorraine+massey&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8&qid=1524634540&sr=1-3

You could ask for a Brazilian blow dry. My hairdresser does a partial brazilian blowdry just on the T section and it makes a huge difference to me.

Have you tried avoiding sulphates and silicones?
Olive/coconut/avocado oil treatment before washing?

I found a way by accident. I was home dyeing my hair and I accidentally mixed the conditioner with the fluid, rather than the colour with the fluid.
I had it on for about 5 minutes before I realised my mistake.
My hair had been dry, frizzy and with split ends for 12 months by then, and I could never seem to cut it short enough to get rid of the split ends. However, that accident sorted it out for good.
That was ages ago and it's still soft now.

Curly girl methods are really good at reducing frizz.

Moroccan oil hair conditioning treatment works for me- it comes in a tub and it’s quite pricey but lasts for ages.

I rate Daniel Field products, plant remoisturising and curl enhancing are my favourite shampoos. I have got very curly hair that I dry with a big natural bristle brush and it is smooth and shiny.
