which hairbrush

I had long down to my bum, extremely curly and thick.
My hairdresser cut it to shoulder length, dried it straight with a large round brush, was steel I think. Then she curled a bit with straighteners to give it bounce.

So bearing in mind no pictures, do I try and style myself with the same type of brush, or does someone know of a better way of just having a wave rather than curls.

Finally, if the big round brush is the way to go which one, what makes should I look for and about how much should I be spending.
Don't want to be ripped off with rubbish, nor pay too cheap and get rubbish.

My hairdresser recommended Shine Angel round brushes. They are made by the Tangle Teaser company.

I'm awaiting delivery of my from Amazon. Have a look at the reviews.

Aw thanks, recommendations from hairdressers will be good.
Have you gone curly to straight? I ask as I only usually see them used on wavy/curly hair.

I have fairly straight hair which I want to blow dry to be more shiny. When my hairdresser uses this brush it makes it supershiny.

When I looked at the reviews of this brush type however, most people seemed to use it to make hair less frizzy. Have a look at the demos on YouTube too.
