Bras that don't cut in

I'm finding it hard to find bras that don't cut into the chubby bits in front of my armpit. I'm 34D-36DD and if the cup is too wide/full it cuts into the chubby bit. I'm currently wearing sports bras all the time to try and avoid it.

Have you had a recent fitting at a reputable shop (ie not M&S?) you could try Bravissimo. Hardly anyone is a 36 unless very broad across the chest.

I’d go get measured somewhere like Bravissimo or try boob or bust online.

I’ve just ditched underwires as v pregnant - I tried bralettes from M&S but the fit was rubbish. The comfiest I’ve found are soft crop tops from Asda £6 each. They seem to give decent shape & support too.

Measure yourself following this guide: thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.co.uk/p/fitting-advice.html or Boob or Bust mentioned above - or go to Bravissimo. You probably need a bigger cup and smaller band, and to try different styles (balcony/full cup/plunge etc) - and you need to "scoop" everything into the cup as per the link above. Good luck!

Not an expert, but having had an revelationary bra intervention in House of Fraser this week (with similar armpit overflow), agree with other posters that you probably need a bigger cup and your perfect size is out there.

Was convinced I was a 34A, turns out I'm a 34D, and now am like 'wtf how did I think my previous bras actually fitted!'. Wish I'd done it years ago - had read so many threads about this over the years and thought 'eff you all, I AM a 34A and I know it!'.

And also, the size often depends on the brand. Think it's a case of going into the right store and having an assistant judge how good your boobs look in every bra/brand you try on Blush

Putting an uneducated bet down, am gonna go for 34EE, maybe F. Am intrigued to see what you find out!

Go get measured in bravissimo cup is too small by the look of it

I have this issue but the Wonderbra triangle push ups (I think that's what they're called) are great! The pretty ones with the sort of lace overlay. So so comfy as well, it's the first proper bra I've work in a year (breastfeeding) and I don't even feel like I'm wearing one - in a good way.

Agree with PPs that it sounds like you're wearing the wrong size bra as well. Have a look at the Boob or Bust calculator. I was wearing a 34A before but am now in a 30E and my boobs have never been so comfy.

Ok. Well next time I'm in the uk I'll go to Bravissimo. Do I need an appointment?

If your bra fits correctly, the underwire will be actually right below your armpit and that 'chubby bit' which is actually breast tissue should be inside the cup.

If it is hitting that bit in front then the cup is far, far too small, which almost certainly means that the band is far too large. A 34 band would be usual for a size 16-18.
