I have tomorrow to buy an interview outfit and can only go to Next. Please help me.

I have £100 gift voucher, I can add a little bit of money to it but I really need an interview outfit for Friday morning.

I find their website quite confusing catalogue style but then I don’t normal shop online with next. I will visit our local large store but I’m clueless to what will make me stand out. I want to stick to my work black straight leg trousers, loafers, colour top and black blazer but I think I need to update.

I’m tall, size 10, very pale complexion and in my 40’s. I’d really apppreciate some ideas to pointmein the right direction.

The new role is a large dealership where I need to be available to each department, customers and suppliers and report directly to the director.

I’m so set in my boring work wear I’m scared I’ll get it horrendously wrong.

Please don't wear those shoes to the interview ( I have recruited at very high levels in the automotive sector for much of my life, and while I know a lot of people like them, I would not take anyone seriously who wore Irregular Choice shoes to an interview).

I was in your position last year. I bought wrap dress in blues/greys and nudey-pink shoes. The weather was good so I didn’t wear a coat.

Suits made me look awful ... I’m a size 14 bottom and 18 top.

I won’t wear the shoes, appreciate all the help.

Try some stuff on that you normally wouldn't try - just to see how you feel in it

Keep the black trousers and blazer, buy a scarf, shoes and a bag in a contrasting colour, or in the colour of the shirt/blouse you will be wearing.

Although personally I'd buy underwear, something about a new set of nice underwear gives me a confidence boost.

And I bought new underwear Sashh

I also bought some cropped trousers and shirts for out of work where I normally wear jeans and t shirt.

Just a quick warning, the shoes lucking linked to are lovely but so, so painful. I have a pair and can't wear them for more than 10 minutes without them taking the skin off my heels.

Toasty I was a bit cheeky and popped them on and did my shopping in them to make sure they weren’t too tight as I need them for the morning.

I was worried they thought I was shop lifting shoes but I paid for everything

Thank you to those that mentioned a necklace/scarf. The necklace really does set the look and I’ve never considered dressing an outfit until today.

Sorry OP but anybody who is tall and a size 10 is never going to have a real clothes dilemma! I say this as a short 14

Mrs I can honestly assure you that I worry.
Being tall isn’t great because, as an introvert I can’t hide. I’m there in eye line with all the other blooming tall people all the time
I acknowledge that if I was shorter I’d still be in eye line but in my world it’s what I deal with.

I am a size 10 but I still hate my legs, arm flab, lack of Boobs, wrinkles and frizzy hair.

I can’t make you feel better about you or me about me right now but please believe tall and size 10 doesn’t automatically means we should know what we are wearing and doing especially when dumped into the spin of redundancy.

I actually ended up in and 8 petite but that’s probably because my anxiety has suppressed my appetite. I can’t apologise for that.

I’m a tall 18. I definitely can’t hide.
